is it retarded that i want to make a priest with very high ac as much sta i can get my hands on and a large mana pull?
is that foolish don't priest get targed first when group pvping?
Question: AM I A FOOL? is this just not the same old EQ cleric Mentality that just don't work in WOW ?

Your template seems fine, and no, plenty of priests like to go high ac, stam, and such.
I do see one thing in the template I'm not a fan of.

You wont use Greater Heal, not enough to justify spending 5 talent points to reduce mana cost by 150.

Moonsabie, I almost wouldn't mind seeing you go more into Shadow for the guild (once you hit 60). We could use a shadow priest (can't believe I'm saying this) and if you chose to do so, you could stay stam based (int, secondary) and still have a manapool of 5500+ (mine is about 6400 unbuffed with mediocre gear). Your build looks ok, though. When we were talking earlier and you mentioned you wanted to get some more items with higher AC in exchange for +stats, I would not recommend that. Just get the Improved Inner Fire and it doubles your damage absorption + high stam will definitely increase your survivability.

I am too busy irl to fucking run around in circles for hours on end to basically get nothing out of it atm.

Priests are always my first target- and those that can survive a little bit longer are a much bigger threat no matter how you look at it.
And the way you played your cleric in EQ would be quite effective in WoW, I believe.

Yeah.. not sure if I'd take a stat hit in favor of AC, though. AC DOES help, but it is only going to help you against melee classes. While this does help against rogues, no amount of AC is going to be favorable over HP. Besides, HP helps versus spells as well. As a shaman, rogues who get the jump on me can still lay a nasty beating so that it's all I can do to keep myself alive, much less my team.. and I am fully geared non-onyxia/mc with about 4500 armor. Armor does wreck daggers, though :P I think it'll be pretty hard to find high armor cloth anyway, and the ring of protection (300 ac, 6 sta) is getting nerfed at patch ;-/

While were on the topic of priest templates...peep mine, def going shadow priest but would reconsider for the benifit of the guild at 60. I just can't see being a Priest without having Silence so I REALLY dont wanna NOT be Shadow Priest~

EDIT: I'm considering dumping the 2 points from Improved Power Word: Fortutide and putting them into Darkness for improved Shadow Dmg or putting them 2 points into Spiritual Healing.....comments?!!?
My opinion stems from a group perspective so if you wanna fly solo all the time disregard this post as I think full shadow makes the best solo priest hands down.
If my priest is in shadowform during a 5v5 i'll kill em. Heals n shields have to come too fast for you to be wasting time in that mode. At most I see the better priests i'm grouping with DoT'ing up people in the begining and blasting towards the end. During the middle they're running around cause they're getting assist trained, throwing out the occasional heal when they get the chance.
That said I think the holy talent where you get less interuption with Flash of Light is key. So I propose this build for you. It retains silence (which I agree is too useful to be without) but puts some more into holy to get the flash of light improvement :
