Hey guys, I'm currently guildless and looking for a guild composed of a tight knit group of friends. A little background about me, I've been playing MMO's since UO. My first character was created on the Catskills server with some other group of friends with whom I played Quake with. At first I hated the game, I went north of that city Britain to mine and get some ingots. As I was doing this, some guy came in, killed me, took my ore, and killed my horse named "a." At first I was pissed. I went back, and got killed again. After the 2nd time, I laughed.

I thought to myself, wow, you can kill anyone in this game. From then on I loved the game. Me and my lowbie friends with level 50 skills in Mace and Shields raided the dungeon Despise and met a lot of PvP action against 7x GM's from a guild called BaGooK TribE. Just one of them was taking us all on, and I said to myself I want to get up to his caliber. I did eventually become a 7x GM with a Blacksmith house, and loved the game. I would get on every single day and PvP. We'd raid dungeons, and minutes later the "Anti-PK's" would show up and a huge battle would endure. One of the best PK guilds had a tower RIGHT across an Anti-Pk guilds tower, many battles happened there too. I felt UO was the best PvP game of all time. Fast forward to EQ, I didnt PvP at all in EQ because I basically felt PVP in that game was retarded. Mages with Ice Comet blah blah. Never got into EQ too much. I tried other games as well, such as DaoC, SB, etc, but never liked them.

I heard about WoW and was enthusiastic about it and hoped that the PVP in the game would be awesome. I got into the beta, and it was a lot of fun. I didn't have that much fun since UO. I would run to Tarren Mill as a newbie and just watch battles rage on. Eventually the game was released and I leveled a 60 UD priest and was in the guild Dominion. I later leveled a 60 Orc Warrior. I was having fun with Dominion when we would do outdoor pvp, raid cities, and raid lowbie areas to provoke higher levels. After doing a couple of runs of MC with them, I had to quit the game for a while because of college and work. I just couldnt attend the raids. I was booted for being inactive. A friend of mine wanted to trade accounts so I did, I traded both my characters for his 60 UD rogue. I tried re-joining Dominion and now they just remember me as "the priest who looted purples and dissapeared." Awesome group of friends, eh?

Anyways, I would ocassionaly read the forums and would stumble upon DB threads. It's noticable a lot of the server doesn't liek you guys. Be it cuz you're awesome at pvp, don't give a shit what other people think, or are arrogant, I really don't care. You seem like a group of people I'd love to hang around with and PVP/PVE. Anyways, I think I posted enough about myself, probably too much. Doubt most of you will read all of this, hah. I seriously hope you consider me to join DB, I hope to meet you all on the battlefield and become acquainted with some of you.

Brief description of gear:Mostly purples and blues. Bloodfang Hood, Lobotomizer, NS Bracers, Don Julio band. The rest are blues. I have separate gear that can get my Fire Resist up to 121.

Cool read. I like it when people post a lot of background, good to know.

A few questions:

What was your priest and warriors name that you traded?

We're really only looking to recruit those who are active, day and day out and not those who take extensive breaks/afks. You mentioned a break due to school/work. Will you have to randomly go inactive again or can we expect consistent play time from you if you do in fact get in?

We, indeed, are a tight knit group. We look at those who join this guild to become part of our long running family that has been ongoing for 9 years now. We aren't just the flavor of the month or some random vapor guild. When we extend an invite to someone, it's an invitation to our family of those who have been committed for years throughout many different games. Do you have any problem making that commitment?

Lastly, an incredible amount of joking around goes on within the guild, insults of all sorts, etc. You cannot be thin skinned and last in this guild - will this be a problem?

Any time you're in game, do a /who darkenbane and check for those running BG's. We usually have people running them nonstop throughout the day. Feel free to send a tell to me any time, whether to group up with us or just ask questions. Our raid nights are Onyxia on monday and MC tues/thurs. However, this week, we will only be raiding on tuesday due to the holiday on thursday in the U.S.

Oh, and I agree, Ultima Online was entirely too much fun. UO was the best PvP game ever and nothing will ever touch it.

Well my priests name was Despair and my warriors name was Dismay. The guy whom I traded accounts with transfered those characters and is now in Second Coming on Dethecus.

I'm a very active player and still am. Expect me to be on a lot, for raids, and pvp. About that 1-2 month break, no, you shouldn't expect it to happen again. I overloaded with classes which was something I shouldn't have done. The following semesters will be much easier.

When you say you guys have been around for 9 years, it sounds great. If I do join you guys, I do indeed expect to stay with you, as guildmates, and friends, from this game till the next. That's what caught my eye the most about you all. Like you said, you aren't some vapor guild.

About the joking, it's no problem. I understand what thats like, a lot of that went on in Dominions ven't, and I take no offense to people calling me names. I'm entirely used to it already.

I'm really looking forward to grouping with you guys, thanks again.
