What like DSL? not an option. um its not a money issue its more of I live in the middle of no where. Im lucky I have a well...some peeps out here have to haul water in from a tanker truck.

Over winter break last year I used dialup (my parents=in the boonies). I went from level 1 through the late 30s that way. It actually wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, although I wouldn't really say that it's adequate for PvP.

For those of you that don't know who turnipshooter is: he was one of the first people I pked with in super early EQ and an officer of the early pk guild known as legacy of Blood, a guild that Darxus and I Co-lead. Later Legacy disbanned and we all joined Darkenbane after we single handedly raped Circle of Agony in a all out guild war Grey asked us to join Bane. This was all like what, 7 years ago or something like that? Anyhow I'm glad your back man!

When I was on dialup a few years ago, and couldn't get cable/dsl I looked into getting satelite but found out in most ways its no better then dialup. You can download with satelite a bit faster but it will actually have a higher ping in games like WoW and other online games. Since your signal has to go all the way to space and back it takes a while :P. You also will lose connection whenever it rains and is really cloudly. I would stick with dialup untill you get dsl/cable.

Cool folks I can promise you this time Ill be back playing with ya by january. I really wanted to get in at the launch of WOW. I rolled my truck over 4 times on a muddy dirt rode. So that set me back a few G's and Im just finaly geting stabilized again. The comp will be here next week though.

Ill need your advice on game mechanic's when I get in the game. Iv been reading up on class's and I thinking of going undead mage. But I want a class that has kill power and when things get rough has the means to stay alive. Whatever the optimal grief class is I want to be it. See you soon

Maybe by the time you get on you can make a blood elf mage. That would be pimp.

Optimal Grief class : Undead Rogue. Stealth means fight only when you want to, surprising your target with 2k dmg before they know it usually kills the hapless guy that thought it was safe to sit and regen there. Seems to be the style you're lookin for. Vanish makes it so if things start goin bad, you can always escape (for the most part). They have a ton of tools to use to contorl the fight, etc.

Undead Mages are good, but don't have "the means to stay alive" as much as a rogue does.
