I agree movie was pretty shitty. The part when the ships were shooting at the locations that were giving looked like it came from a movie made in the same time frame as Godzilla. Go see Bourne Identity or Minority Report, much better movie.

I like Nicholis Cage too he is a great actor but damn.... If you HAVEN'T seen wind talkers, go see it only if you wanna see what a truely corny movie is. The first seen was border line walk out material lol but I gave it the benefit of the doubt cuz it is Cage man.

That's funny. Yeah, that first scene in the jungle was not exactly Oscar caliber. The guy who played Yhazzi was a horrible actor as well. And of course, the Whitehorse guy just happens to be a master knifesman and can kill 6 guys with ease since he is an Indian.

And whoever said something about the warship scene earlier, I laughed my ass off. You are so right, that shit was cheap as all. And the worst part is that, in one of those scenes, if you watch close (I wouldn't recommend), when they pan back to the guys fighting from the ships, they purposely made the guys fighting a bit grainy to "gradually" lull us back into the film texture. It was a pathetic attempt.

Could it be due to the fact that it was based on a real life event, they had a low budget to start, and blew it on Cage and Slater to star in it? Sucks when people can make 20 million in under 3 months work. :P

What really annoyed me about it, is they give it this name, implying that they'll actually focus on those people. Instead it's a movie about Cage's hollow character. False advertising, argh!

Let's not forget the parts where Cage goes crazy on the battle field ROFL! How stupid! Then Yhazzy did it too omg it was horribly done. It was like it was right out of a comic book or something.

John Woo and that story do not go well together and this horrible movie is the result of that God awful combination.

nick cage sucks, he owes his career to his uncle (coppolla) and he's one of the worst overactors in hollywood. he hasn't been in a good movie in over 10 years, and his last movie with john woo (face/off) is what started woo's string of bad american movies. nick cage has no business being in an action movie and should stick to making romance garbage like city of angels and leaving las vegas. on the other hand, john woo is responsible for the best action movies ever made, and i'm not sure why he's making big budget hollywood trash like MI2, broken arrow, face/off, and now windtalkers.

and if you think the above movies are good, then you most likely haven't seen any of john woo's HK action films. go watch "the killer" starring chow yun-fat and you'll see why nick cage is such a joke.
