server stability has been shit the last few days on mug'thol so my guild decided to take a week or so break until its fixed, in the meantime there are just over 40 os uf downloading/installing atm.

figure we can powerlevel up and create a perfectly balanced siege group, then while we play wow just periodically all log in once or twice a week to destroy someones town lol.

anyhow will see those of you playing at your city gates in a week or so =P

nah i was just fucking around looking to ruffle a few feathers, not playing around with SB =P

was toying with the idea of having a group of our guys in the game to do exactly as i outlined, just be an errant guild with no in game assets and hence no need to worry about who's cheerios we pissed in and once or twice a week all log on for a planned townfucking and then go back to wow, but when i went to install the piece of shit game to take a look i couldnt even get it to run.

was telling me my video settings werent good enough or something retarded like that and then getting opengl errors and the like when launching.

prob could of figured it out after fucking with it for a few hours/years but then i remembered the last 15 times ive reinstalled and each time seems to be buggier and buggier so said the hell with it.

darkfall beta hasnt started yet danubi, and much like most of the games that are touted as being everything everyone wants likely wont be for a long time to come as theyve already been putting it off for 2+ years, when i does release it will probably end up flopping just like SB did as it is yet another smalltime company with no experience. in the meantime while waiting to see we are having a good time in wow pissing folks off and having them bitch on the boards.

SB might be a pos game but the pvp is infinently more fun then in wow. I dont even want to remember the feeling I'd get when I'd walk by some retarded Horde character and not be able to kill him. Bottom line is guilds like Harm dont exist in sb because they get thier shit pushed in over and over and when they have no town, all thier gear is broken, and they are getting camped at every ruin they just quit. I'd love to see WoW's engine/combat system with SB's siege and pvp system. That would be nice.

id love to see a game with SBs engine to, the choice for me comes between playing a game that isnt already dead and is still enjoyable in many aspects despite its watered down pvp system, or in this case playing one that is on its way to having the plug puleld and is still insanely buggy, coupled with the very small number of people playing.

if you all want a stable and good game to play id suggest a UO emulator along the lines of uogamers, just as easy to get a character pvp ready and just as free for all of a pvp system, theres also more people playing it at a given time than on your SB server id wager.

i might even be inclined to make an appearance and dust off some of my old UO tricks.

I dont know if your making up numbers to convince yourself not to play or if you have someone whos playing who is lieing to you but we never have a shortage of chinese people to kill. Killed at least 75 tonight with our 10 man group. Now shadowbane may be ending sometime in the near future but until then we are having a blast.

If you compare people not in instances in WoW vs # of people on Shadowbane at any given time, Shadowbane has more people "playing".

You can't even count half the population of the server in WoW cause you can't do anything to them.

the games bugginess and overall shittiness coupled with the fact i couldnt even get the thing to launch is what convinced me not to play, otherwise id be logging in once a week or so to fight a bane over someones town.

6 months ago when i reactivated to take a look at the game the highest populated server (redemption) had 200 - 300 people online during the day and 600 - 700 online at primetime, i cant imagine its any better now and if it is its just from folks who are playing for free for a month before they quit, and since the landmass in shadowbane is pretty damn big and travel time takes forever (even as an errant thief with 130 run skill, a pack of recall scrolls and the ability to travel the runegates) finding pvp other than at sieges and the like can be a frustrating experience unless ganking lone retards at open trees is any more fun than ganking lone retards anywhere else

thats in comparison to the uo emulator i was talking about which has been around for 4 years and continues to grow, and has around 1200 people online at peak without the bugs and instability of shadowbane combined with blink of an eye travel to wherever you want and a much more condensed landmass.

play whatever you like lol, just making a comparison of free games if thats what your all looking to play.

im killing 50+ people a day. There's always a fight at the right spawns and in training / merchant towns. Due to the game being free now the servers have been infused with old players who are sick of WoW or EQII or other games. I've heard of populations on a single server as high as 2000 during prime time.

I canceled my WoW account the day I logged into SB. WoW Sucks donkey dick.

For once, I have to agree with Arkons. Theres almost always pvp in the towns. I really like 3v5's and owning people over and over.

WoW has my knuckles bleeding. I can't stand one faction long enough to roll another simply to kill my former faction mates. I'm gonna take shitty mechanics for the moment, and enjoy rolling towns of fuckers with a guild, or anyone else who runs at the mouth.

Been a while, sounds like things are going well for you in WoW, you had a better exp then I did. Hope things are going well.

Arillious and other DB folks, I checked out Vindi and found myself in gook wonderland. I appreciate the response I received here. I found out Vindi was also faction/ racial based and had WoW flashbacks. I'm on Braiallia (sp?) and having some fun.

Darwoth, don't underestimate the player base returning to SB because of WoW suckage in the pvp dept. I'm tryin to figure out which jackhole started Hidden Power on our server, adds for interesting enviornment.

Ya'll can look me up on Braiallia, under Faster or Boreas.

p.s. O ya we blew up the server in some pretty nice large scale battle at a training town, and it remains down... Not sure if Ubi will even bring it up in morning, but again it beats the shit out of WoW.

Thanks for giving me the invite the night before last. Staffing issues at work kept me from logging in last night, and I hope the same thing isnt a problem tonight. As I understand it, there are three days let to enjoy the anticarebear game. Three days before I go back to baking bread and sewing clothes...and i pay to do this??? :confused:
