Vodka and ?

So, I bought alot of vodka last night (Smirnoff 80), sometihng I haven't really been a big fan of in the past. The taste itself isn't too bad, it's the aftertaste that gets me. What are some good mixes that mask the aftertaste? I tried Gatorade real early this morning and it got me all fucked up but the aftertaste was so nasty still.

What do you guys mix this shit with to cover the aftertaste? Orange Juice?

I'm not going to do red bull btw, not smart imo.

You can mix vodka with a shitload of stuff so I just named the cheapest/easiest shit since I think you are looking for something simple. Btw, nothing wrong with energy drink + alcohol b/c most of that crap is myth and bullshit that they tell you. I happen to hate redbull so it's not a problem for me!

Ok. So this weekend I'm gonna try out 2 different things (Fri night and Sat night).

One night I want to get completely shitfaced. The other night I want something that I can drink for a couple hours and just get a decent buzz from, I'll be with my GF this night and she'll probably have whatever I do so I guess it needs to not taste like ass. Keep in mind i'm a really big guy even though I haven't been drinking forever.

Any suggestions? I'm kinda leaning towards some JD or Bacardi (only cause ive heard of them) with Coke for the night when I'm with my gf. If you mix it with coke it can't taste bad! The other night I guess I'll try some Tequila of some sort, I dunno though.

Vodka + Lemonade

During my cheapest phases of college I mixed Rikaloff with the shittiest lemonade money can buy. There was a Shopper's Food Warehouse near campus, and they sold these 3 liter bottles of Super Chill Lemonade for a dollar. If you have any kind of income, you shouldn't settle that low.

Rum and anything cola (vanilla/cherry/classic coke, root beer, dr. pepper)
If you fancy the taste of coconuts, Malibu goes down sweet like candy.
Ginger ale and whiskey or southern comfort are pretty good too.
My favorite is tequila with the cuervo margarita mixer, but if i dont have that (its pretty expensive) i will drink a lot of tequila and mountain dew.

What I drink mostly is Bacardi with coke. It tastes fine and theres 3-4 good flavors of rum (apple, razz, lemon, orange) and coke is always on sale for cheap somewhere. Tequilla with margarita mixer is really good, but like skrow said fucking expensive.

I think you will find that vodka is one of the easiest liqours to mix, also said to give you the least hangover symptoms. Age is right about filtering it through a brita pitcher, ill sit there all day and run it through a filter you can change vladymir to grey goose if you do it enough.

Tonight I was got some Bacardi Gold. I was HOPING to get drunk tonight to celebrate something. Unfortunately, this stuff taste like absolute shit. I mixed like 3 oz into a 32 oz glass of coke and still almost lost it. Now I've got an almost full bottle of Bacardi Gold that I'm trying to decide what to do with. Well, alcohol is poison. That's why you throw up or die if you drink too much, and that's why it tastes bad. Everything with enough booze to get you drunk before your stomach is too full of liquid to drink more will taste at least a little bad. Some people (I'm looking at Skrow and Alchy) claim to like the taste of booze for itself, but I don't think I ever will. I can drink some pretty hard stuff, but I don't think it's yummy.

That said, my favorite is orange flavored vodka with cranberry juice. Holy shit that's good.

Then there's always starting off with something really really pussy, like a Boone's Farm or some Mike's or whatever, and working your way up to harder mixes as you get drunker, and therefore care way less about booze tastes.
