Ok, though im not the oldest DBer here I had been in Darkenbane throughout all its time on Sullen and thankfully* not wasting money on Shadowbane, Planetside, Wow (as I had a good feeling they wouldnt become the next EQ).

Alright, this is what I dont get it, after months of being seperated from DB I read a post on DIE boards saying how DB is going down the tubes and shit... and Im thinking to myself "Why the fuck is he still nipping at Darkenbanes fucking heels, you have your wife/car/house so leave this shit alone". I mean seriously Gray, leave it the fuck alone, you got your guild in DIE and you have all your officers wearing Beer Goggles so leave it in the past and get some therapy, and I mean it, some real fucking therapy because you need to get over it. And low and behold, not long after that retarded post of how bad Darkenbane is doing hes dropping long standing people who couldnt keep there beer goggles on like Extreme from Planetside. Lol, i guess you could give Gray credit this time... he didnt disban the entire fucking guild :D

Im still wondering how all this will end... or will it ever end. Hell i cant even really say there are 2 split factions amongst DB/DIE since I dont think alot of members have animosity towards one another accept for maybe a small handful of people who just cant forgive and forget to make things work. Or maybe it is already working to its fullest and people just cant see it in affect.

May as well sum up this rant,

No im not the most experianced of everyone in Darkenbane nor the oldest member but everyone has there own story, even what I remember is enough to fucking write a book about :P (I would be quite entertained if someone actually went and made a book about Darkenbane and its full history, I think that would be a good read :p ) Would I like it if both Darkenbane/Die reunited? The answer is yes but with one big string attached, that Gray not lead the guild. I could list a number of reasons for this and hey I may as well while I have time :D

1) Gray, you need to take a class/read some books and listen to people better before you can lead a guild fully again, in your current state you are unfit to lead a guild, I dont care what you are doing on Wow because that is nothing more than a tangling web that is soft on the eyes. It is really an accomplishment you wish to brag about that your becoming a faithful member of the bluebie community?

2) I know Lisa is your wife and an active player of the guild but the minute you start taking advice from the one your in bed with as well as basing your entire life around you cant literally see the forest through the trees. Lisa should not be your chancellor and never should have become it... does the fucking president have his wife at his side asking her advice when Iraq may be throwing up nukes (NO) he pays a brilliant fucker to work 15 hour days to do that shit for him. Live and learn Gray.

3) Alright Eyepatch, Meter, Saradin, Toaday, Buto, Arillious... I dont know what you guys are talking about on the Private boards.. If I know correctly it will be anything that you dont want the public knowing about which somehow always get out into the open and to DIE (how the hell does this stay unchecked :rolleyes: ). Lets be honest guys, who wants to make amends with DIE and just let bygones be bygones and bury the hatchet already. Does everyone still have full malice vs them or are some of you ready to shake hands and just try to give things a chance.

It has already ended. Some members of the guild split off and created their own guild. When challenged to play on the same server on WoW on opposite factions, DIE backed out mere days before the servers went live.

Would not work. When the guild seperated, it was largely in part because Gray was going to have run against others for guild leadership. He would have lost, which I think is the primary reason he split. If I get this messed up forgive me, my memory is a bit hazy.

No. Won't happen. There isn't anything on the private/officer/whatever boards discussing this because it won't happen, ever. Personally, I don't even want to consider it. Sure, I still have a few friends that joined DIE but that doesn't matter. Besides the obvious reasoning of why we wouldn't even consider the option of reforming with Gray & Co., his guild is comprised of mass-recruited PvE nuthugging kiddies. Sorry, that's not what we're about.

Both parties have moved on. We are still a tight PvP-centric guild looking forward to real PvP while DIE... isn't. Not to mention the fighting and everything that happened when the split occurred... (some people showed some real maturity...)

I think I speak for everyone when I say, there is no way in hell that would ever happen. Hopefully, this will be the last thread on the subject.

Thank you for that Daefuin :) lol, funny part is that i remember you from Rallos zek and that was what, 5 years ago? I dont mean to disappoint but this probably wont be the last thread about this subject (probably the last that ill put up about it though) and I would have put it on Grays boards but everyone knows that it would just get censoered anyways.. Sadly, I have a feeling that gray has enough free time to run his guild and still check these boards atleast* once a day, just for rememberance and conversational pieces :)

Gray and Lisa won't ever lead DB again thus they will never be in DB again due to their own pride. There's obviously other circumstances but that's a big one and will never ever change so no need to waste time thinkin about anything else.

And yep, I was a healer for 2 years and a bit on Everquest :) , lvl 49 Shaman on Rallos and lvl 55 Cleric on Sullen.. been in alot of pk guilds who all had there own beliefs (Rain of Pain, House In'visus, Darkenbane) and still have alot of fond memories with people who have went in all different directions in online gaming.

That isn't why the split happened, but alot of drama went on because of that. Gray didn't really promote them per se, but he said that we should use them because most everyone else was. It's flawed logic, but some people used them and some didn't. Not everyone who hacked left and not everyone who left hacked. It's a seperate incident.

I got in HIV when Tallondrakae merged Rop with them (so we could do larger raids.. was getting pretty quiet in Rop :P ). Anyways, that was around the end of my time on Rallos but lol, they had there own set of drama... puppet leadership with Rahne calling the shots and a bunch of other stuff I really couldnt comprehend. I was already looking towards Sullen Zek after a month or so in the guild but of course when we started looking into it Tallon wanted to take the easy route and go evil (mainly so he could pk Darkenbane since he had a beef with some of the guys on Rallos) while I preferred Neutral for the challenge. Still miss Aagatha, was a nice person I really got along with there in HIV.

Gray actually isnt a bad leader. The way he leads works. He basically has no life and is able to spend almost all of his time dedicated to his guild. He frequently discards members who start to show individuality and recruits other relatively brainless drones to take thier spots. Thats just where DIE and Darkenbane are different. When it comes down to it I can trust the people by my side even if it is only 20. I doubt the people in DIE can say the same thing. Like I have said before I'd rather fight beside 20 people that I know and can trust to do thier part then fight beside 60 people who just run around like chickens with no head.

And also, about the split. A lot of that had to do Gray wanting to force the guild to go alliance, when almost everyone else was opposed to it. This should of not been a big deal either way but Gray decided to make a huge deal out of it by threatening to step down as GM if we decided to go horde. That was retarded even by Gray's standards. If you ask me I think Lisa just liked the way alliance females looked and we all know who wears the pants in that relationship.

In the end both sides seem to be happy with the way everything turned. Gray got to create the guild he wanted and we got to get rid of Gray.
