Dhabu and I have started playing on Markov as TR, right now we are low BRs grinding away. I have always thought TR had the best weapons, and would be the best to play. If any of yall are thinking of coming back, you should join us on Markov. Hell make a reserve account, BR6 can get you MCG or Striker.
On Emerald as NC working in small squads we used to do some serious damage, and even change the course of large scale battles in some cases. If any of yall are bored and not playing anything come to PS....squading up with TS is what can make the game a hell of a lot of fun.
We still may go back to NC on Emerald if Markov turns out to be lame, but for now thats where we'll be.

You mean that piece of crap attempt at trying to expand the game which was a confirmed failure? I know Dhabu has it, but most of the rest of us didn't waste our money.

Core Combat did change the game bigtime, but I actually ended up buying it about a month ago. Experience in the caves is 3 or 4 times what it is on the surface, and if you're a good grunt its worth it. If you don't like grunting then don't bother with the expansion.
It is still a lot more fun to play the game how it was originally set up, surface only. But I enjoyed going into the caves on Emerald to show TRx they aren't as good as they think they are.
As for your comp problems, I dunno.....PS has always been one of the most poorly written games when it comes to stability....I'm sure SOE went for the lowest bidder, as any major corporation does.

I got it so my normal map works, but if i go to the big map from the ship thingy it freezes still... makes it hard to get around =P

What are your system specs?
IMO, to play PS with no stutter\crash problems you need at least a gig of ram. But by today's standards, a gig is nothing.

I'm pretty sure SOE just enabled the expansion for everyone a while ago. Everyone seems to be able to do the caves now, at any rate.
Like Bearchest said, the caves are a good way to ensure you get some small-scale action if you want it. 9/10 fights down there involve less than 10 ppl per side, which is a nice change from zergfests. The only annoying thing is the ziplines, and they're not so bad once you figure them out.
Now that my rig allows me to grunt, I'm having a blast as TR. Bear and I last night, we fuckin ripped shit up. Funnest FPS experience I've had in years. I was totally into BF1942 and some BF2, and neither touch this shit imo.

Yeah that was one of the best battles I've been in, 3 way on Hossin at ghannon...I got over 70 kills in an hour grunting with MCG\Striker.
