Finally got ahold of a camera :D here are some pics of the area I do work in. These are just from a casual day, nothing out of the ordinary (such as bear sightings and getting lost in the woods  )

Pic #1/#2 are from the helicopter ride to the site, just landscapes.

Pic #3 is right after we land, pretty dam foggy and cold up there on the mountain side. Thankfully we have a really great pilot who the fucking man .... definately worth the $1500/hour.

Pic #4 is a small area of the burn, it covers many hectares and the scope of it is massive. Not only is it slippery as fuck in there but you will find many mushrooms called morals... ill show a pic of them later in the post. Not only is it slippery but the ash will cover you over the course of the day and you will constantly be coughing up ash and blowing it out your nose (not fun :p )

Pic #5/ #6 is the alternate to the burn, really bright and lush landscape rarely seen by anyone other than the animals that live in the area. The pics again just dont do it enough justice.

Pic #7 is a good example of me working on my foraging skills aquired in EQ :D . This is just a small amount compared to what we actually got today, me and my buddy made $175 dollars on just mushrooms. I mean seriously, if there were ever a fucking moneytree these things are it, not only do they sell for $8-9 dollars a pound but they are also edible once cooked, great for surviving in the wilderness. These mushrooms (called morals) are found only in the burn areas.

Pic #8 is a pic of me after a hard days work . Im actually the biggest guy on the crew (6,2 240 pounds) and ill tell ya its fucking hard work and the ash sticks to ya like glue. This is actually a good example of the previous statement I made in the other post refering to how black you look (as a racial comment) to how much work you do.. its actually the truth :p

I'm a bit unsure as to what you do?

We have morals in Sweden, and they are the tastiest fucking mushroom you'll ever find!. If I had 175$ worth of them, I'd eat them, not sell them :)

My basic job description is to go to remote locations either by truck or by helicopter and find specific spots using gps (global positioning satilite) and measuring hip chains. I then take soil/silt/rock samples at these locations by digging holes, finding slow area of moving water or chiping rocks off of outcrops (large areas of outward rock movements). Im trained for using compass/topographic maps/air photos/gps systems/ipaks while in the field.

That just about sums up the job itself, these are just pics from along the way, i got quite a few but alot of them didnt turn out :P. To aquire this type of job you need to be majoring in Geology/Geography and it helps to have experiance. I feel that it is easily the best job ive ever had in my life, only minus's it has are that you are stuck with the same people in a house/camp for 4 weeks and that you are away from your family/friends for long periods of time.
