Please excuse the crappy photography. I have a cell phone and no personal aptitude for picture taking.

My mods coming in the very near future...
Injen SRI + maybe a borla exhaust i dunno the exhaust is expensive
headers
Lower (prolly eibach springs)
All-around tint - 10% back+ back sides, 15% front sides, 40ish windshield
plus some minor things like switching my headlight bulbs, changing hyundai badging to korean tuscani badges, etc.
I'm eventually going to put an alpine supercharger on it, but thats out of my price range right now. I got a real good deal on the car, sticker price was like 22.5 and I got for about 18. No, I'm not adding a bunch of stickers, a fart can, or putting led's on my wipers. No rice here, bitch.

If you switch your headlight bulbs get Sylvania Silverstars...they're pretty fuckin awesome...a lil pricy, but adds a nice look to the car at night.

I'm paying for it until I start law school next fall, then my parents will take over payments for me the first year. Alot of law schools don't allow part-time jobs your first year.

wtf would you want a pos riceburner for?
a rusted out 80s era single wheel drive mustang, camaro, corvette, trans am, large mexican filled work van will out perform them despite what the manufacturers tests say.
the fact that a large coffee can exhaust is a viable aftermarket accessory in the eyes of most people speaks volumes.
take it back and spend half the money to get a fully restored 60s era musclecar then post a picture~

It's only a riceburner if you try and rice it out. Multiple neons, led's, stickers, big fart can, turbo badges, etc.
I've got a '64 Impala SS w/ a 327 and 2spd powerglide. It needs alot of work done to it though. I would love to fix it up but I don't have the time for anything major like that.
I wouldn't be able to afford insurance on a vette, trans am, or v8 camaro or firebird. Eventually I'd like to get a 60s-70s musclecar. I really like the late 60s mustangs although I didn't really like the body styles from the 70s up. I do like the newest mustang though. A cobra (or w/e theyre calling there v8 sc'd) would be sick as hell, but again I couldn't afford the insurance on one.
Overall, I'm really happy with what I got. I'm hoping to eventually get it up to around 250-260 hp sc'd. I know it won't run with the vettes and stuff.. but burning ricers is awfully fun. The car has alot of potential for relatively little work involved. I like mod'ing cars and there's alot I can do with this, I just don't have the time to rebuild that Impala.
Also... There aren't really any decent (new) domestic sport cars in this price range. Cobalt? meh. Dodge srt-4? lol, neon. Mustang? wayyyyyyyy too common here unless I got the sc'd v8. And c'mon, when you think of rice you think of honda civic w/ neons and stickers that does a 1/4 in 18 seconds. My car will be classy, not ricey. :)

Still a fluid coupling and not a clutch, which makes it automatic with gated shifting. But I can't talk because my car and my truck are both auto atm.
My baby blue camry owns you all:
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e161/BearChest/Truck001.jpg
Only paid $200 for it tho, and it gets 28-32 mpg depending on how i drive...way better than my truck at 15 mpg:
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e161/BearChest/Truck002.jpg
but its still badass.

If you want real hp go turbo or supercharger.

S/C eventually, no $$ for that right now though. Need intake, headers, exhaust, and some other things like pulleys and new motor mounts first.
I should post up pictures of my 4 door Accord with the baby seats in the back, what what?!?

Its no riceburner, thats for sure! Going single soon, should lay down 450+ on pump gas. Its probably about 330 as it sits completely stock.

how the fuck do you get into the engine to do anything on something like that?
i used to go to drag races several times a week when i was a kid with my dad and know at least the basics of an engine but i have no idea wtf im looking at right there, are the spark plugs underneath of it or are they inside those two slender rectangles?
are the two intertwined light gray tubes some kind of heating/air coniditioning part or are those the headers?
anyhow i just bought a partially restored 69 camaro this week, to go with my other car, ill show you newbs what a heterosexual american white man's car looks like.

Those two slender rectangles things are called valve covers. In between them are coil packs instead of a distributor, and they plug into the spark plugs underneath...
Those gray intertwined tubes are actually turbo pipes, and they intwine because there's two turbos!
I love old camaros too!

nice supra - 1jz ftw. ive been in a few toyota soarers with 1jz's and even just with a little boost and a front mount they go nicely.
darwoth - an inline 6 turbo motor is fairly simple. block straight down the middle, turbo/s on the hot (exhaust manifold) side, and the cold stuff on the other side (intake manifold, fuel injectors). it just looks complex with the twin turbos and all that piping - when he goes to a big single turbo you will just have that big fucker sitting there where all those pipes are.

A already watch them disappear. The single turbo is on its way. Should be alot more fun when that goes on. Surprised you knew what it was, very impressive!

Cars are my biggest love in life. I used to own a ~600hp (crank, never dyno'd) mkiv a few years ago, all my friends have quick imports. I've got a mate with a holden commodore with a nissan rb30det engine, gt35/40 turbo, roughly 650hp on pump fuel - goes hard :-)
I'm actually thinking about getting a toyota soarer as a daily driver, I can pick up a turbo 1jz one for ~$US5,000. With a little boost, fmic, shift kit for auto, etc (bolt ons), it should be decently quick for a daily.

Btw how big of a single are you putting on? 1jz's are very strong from the factory, it could probably handle a 70mm turbo (with supporting mods ie fuel system).

I got a SP63 in the mail today. Its not a huge turbo, but good enough for 500hp on pump, which is all I want from this setup. I'm going to build a 2jz monster eventually.
a 1jz for 5,000 US is way way too much man. I paid 2800 for a whole front half of a car with a 1jz in it, and it was a little high.

I've heard good things about those sound performance turbos. 63mm should be great, i would have been a little disappointed if you went for a little single :)
~$US5,000 for a whole soarer with 1jz, registered and ready to drive. There's no way I'm doing an engine swap for a daily driver, I just want to buy it, boost it and drive it basically :)

I'm looking at something like this but with lower km's, $AU6,500 is about $US4,500.
