I'm not too into consoles anymore but Nintendo lost my support when they lost Squaresoft as a 3rd party developer. That's really the only thing it had going for them outside of the Zelda line. Other than that, Nintendo may still appeal to 5 year olds with Super Mario party and Yoshi orgy #23409834.
