Ahh our first pvp raid - actually I think the server's *first* pvp raid on duskwood. I remember taking us through STV and all chain crashing in duskwood due to the AoE spamming but we knocked them back down into their town so many times until we got zerged by the guards. Then we'd back up and repeat it all over again. We killed so many people over the course of 4-5 hours inbetween crashing of course haha.

this incited a guildwar between the two of them that lasted months and nobody ever did find out wtf happened, it was a topic of much controvery for quite a while.

i had two characters on siege perilous, one a tradeskill mule, and one an assassin that had the saying "i have an orgasm everytime i kill a mage" in his comments section, for over a year i also had a bright red backpack in my paperdoll because there was a time that you could use the house decorating tool to make your backpack fall off of your paperdoll and dye it with a tub. i was also the only member of darkenbane (dbc) to ever play on siege perilous aside from genaside who joined me long enough to kill a miner and skin his packhorse before returning to EQ, and for a brief time meter who never got past 70 magery and kept getting killed while trying to bladespirit mobs and quit. unlike the current brand of leadership that resides in a pve guild that we laughed at daily i understood the importance of representing the guild you claim to be a part of whether it was convenient to do so or not.

"the name" that darkenbane USED to enjoy as a respectable pvp guild did not come until people like myself, once, laroux and others joined and wrecked everyone we came across, there were a few really good players in darkenbane when we came, but they were overshadowed by the 10 to 1 moron ratio, i can remember myself and yoink constantly getting after gray about not letting more losers in because it was making us all look bad.
