yeah - have a few friends still playing (from release) and they still claim it has the best PvP. Graphics are icing on the cake.. just wondering if anyone here had any past xp with it.

I'm not a fan of PnC movment though :/

I wouldn't bother playing unless you know someone who will power level you or can find someone. The game is pretty hardcore, and depending what server you choose (dont go on redemption) foreign nations may completely dominate the entire game. Last time I played, a chinese nation named HOD on Redemption had completely taken over the game to the point that it was no longer fun to play. Everyone in the game either allied with them, or got wiped out. Allied nations + HOD consisted of about 95% of the player base. We allied with some Japanese players, but they got wiped out within the first week of our alliance. There was basically no one left, we were errant and didnt have a city, so we just ganked HOD power levelers and fucked up their mining schedule. What's even funnier is that even though we kept ganking the shit out of them, they still power leveled us. hahaha.

anyway, yea. I'd play Shadowbane again if we had the old crew back in. But you need to be willing to put up with a lot of bullshit. Mass PvP still doesn't work, and you just get lag deathed and then you die.

You would think that with the dated graphics lag wouldn't be much of an issue... unless the netcode is poo. I was reading some of the official forums just to get an idea of how the game is doing, and most described the same situation you did. Apparently there is only one server left (Vindicate or something like that - can't remember) that is still fun to guild/alliance PvP on.

you'd have to reroll. anything from original launch is probably totally gimped by now.
