First look sounds cool, I'll check out there webpage. The three biggest problems with EQEmu though:

1. Player Population
2. Sustainability
3. Cheating

I won't even be able to check it out for another week or two because of this shitty connection. You should try it though and let me know how it is.

Doesn't look to be any torrents - Just have to change the eqhost.txt file to the standard EQEmu loggin info

Sounds interesting, though I think daef is right. Titanium seems to be the only version that runs eqemu, I had an old copy of pre PoP EQ that wouldnt work.

On that note dont know whether I would want to waste money on new copy, probally rip off UK price. Let me know if you find a torrent or if you can hax a copy to work

Yea thats what titanium consists though I dont think its sold anywhere in UK. Not sure if you can find it round euro. If anyone of you do manage to test out the servers, let us know if it is a waste of time or worth ordering a copy for old times sake

Evolution was a no go, but had an old rig upstairs that had an old EMU copy on it. Tried to load it up, and everytime I clicked on server and started it up would crash EQ out. So if you guys happen upon a Titanium copy hook me up. Puzzle Pirates FTW, and get Simon and Mark to play too! Malaysia Powah!

I havent had much time to play this weekend, so im only lvl 4. but i almost creamed my pants when Hodas/hodar(hes a lvl 20 wizard) from Sullon zek pwned a lvl 27 shadowknight. even though i could only watch =)

We agreed that this server is going to be the shit, and everyone must come play .

So download/buy eq titanium and come play =)

Arillious and I played on VZ with the guys who set this up, they've been posting it on a forum everyone from the server still reads. Looks like there's been around 50 people playing during primetime (late afternoonish) but it's growing pretty quick.

I ordered my copy over Monday, fingers crossed it gets here by Friday. God damn postal strikes happening over here though every other week so its pretty much like Russian roulette with mail orders. Will be rolling necro or enchanter though when I do get goin.

Dunno if SK's would fair well if its old world content. Shaman would be a better bet since they have more utility spells for pvp; blind, speed buffs, cures, heals etc

Leveling seems like a bitch though. In ferrott I just chain pull frogloks, and those fucking froglok guards outside UGuk are still red. Hopefully I will venture in there today, and get 30ish. Was talking to some guy who was 22 the other day and he is 40 now. Got there by going into UGuk. So gg 40 today!

That client download link doesn't work fully. Awakened used it and I had to send him alot of extra shit to get it to work.

It's not a teams server Jotok, the splash page just hasn't been updated in a while.

nah the link works, what happens is sometimes it will cut off before 100% done but you can still extract the files, will just be missing some. Re-download if that happens.

P.S. There is no teams right now. Its more of a guild vs. guild thing - Should get in with this shit a rep-DB like old school RZ style. Shaman / Druid / Wiz dominate IMO. Although, Blind + Root + Nukes = dead ass mother fuckers. Melees hit for some recockulous dmg so be wary. All and everyone should play, and own bitches

Ok, I followed all the directions to play EQEMU TZ/VZ Server...

I get to the login screen and login and see all the EMU Servers including TZ/VZ with like 22 ppls on it this morning. After I press login it hangs for a bit then spits me back to the beginning login screen again.

I'm on 56k.
I downloaded the 3.4GB client intact from the pwnedemu server.
I am using the link to .exe ("..EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme) that comes in the .rar file to run EQemu Client.
I was going to try to just login and level up a dude to PvP with on good connections someday.
I used Nemesis on the pwnedemu forums, but used Outkas login on the eqemu forums and User CP.
I had to download and burn a dvddisc at friends, then had to uncheck read only on everything I extracted.(dunno if that matters).
I'm logged into the EQEmu forums with Outkas login (that I followed directions to validate for passed few days) and it still wont let me post a thread. So DB forums are my only hope!
