old school adventure games are always fun. Plus they are really really cheap, buy Grim fandango monkey island full throttle day of the tentacle for like 20 bucks total. Not everyone is an adventure gaming fan though but I personally think they are a good time.

monkey island 1 and 2 are abandonwares now..you can find em really easily on the internet...the games are amazing...days and days of entertainment 8^)

Of course, the graphics are so bad that, when I was 8 years old and playing it, I had no idea what most things were (is that a phone or an elephant condom??). I'd hate to see them now =P

...me and my friend used to play the Monkey Island games for hours bro. That shit was so awesome, creative too. I loved the swordfights. Also how you had to go back and retrace your steps and learn shit that you missed in order to move on (simple premise but the way those games did it was fun~).

Anyone remember the King's Quest series of games? I used to play King' Quest 5 on my Dad's 286 lol. What a fking game that was, man. When we (my dad, my friend, and I) finally beat that game I think my old man took us out to dinner or something lol. We thought we were champs~

Heh damn Kings quest was the shit. I vaguely remember it but I know I had a lot of fun. Was pretty addictive for the type of game it was. Who produced King Quest series? hearing about it makes me want to play the game over again.

I downloaded monkey island 4 demo and that is a cool game even though the main guy looks like a fag, the voice acting and the gameplay is cool, I like the beginning where you can (almost) jump off the cliff and he says "Goodbye Cruel Adventure game!"


What're some of these abandon ware sites? I wanna play some of these games...
