does anyone here speak either of these lanmguages? are you fluent? how difficult wwas it to learn and how long did it take?

what did you do to l;earn them etc.?

All languages are easy to learn if you don't think of it as learning a new language, just as a new slang word for your entire vocabulary.

Well I took 4 years of spanish and when I went to Costa Rica my spanish was horrible. I didn't have a problem with small talk such as ordering food or directions to a place, but I couldn't have any type of normal conversation with someone. But, I hear if you live there or any other spanish speaking country you can pick it up fluently in a few months. Just curious, why do you want to know them languages, little too much boondock saints or want to work with the FBI or CIA?

Amazingly, English is the most complex language out there. Yeah Spanish is kinda hard, and so is German, but most languages you'll find are that way because of the conjugation, just takes a long time to learn it fluently.

That's pretty good Stoff, you could make a lot of money in America knowing a lot of languages. But, I think you have to be an American citizen, born and raised here too, I think. I could be wrong though.

well i originally just wanted to know dutch because in the not to distant future (8 months or so) i will be making several trips to that part of the world and stayoing for around a month and dont want to be looking like an ass between sight seeing, cruising europe and chilling in the red light districts of amsterdam.

as to spanish i figure if im going to learn languages might as well learn the one that half of the rest of the world uses and is supposedly one of the easier ones to learn.

besiudes ive always half assedly wanted to know a few languages only recently been seriously looking into it.

anyhow i gather from everyone here the best/fastest way to learn a language is to hire a tutor?

how much did it run per lesson/(course?) vallidus and how long/frequent were they?

darwoth, could you post any more completely irrelevant shit on this board? i have just been ignoring the gun control crap, but stupidly i clicked on this one. seriously, this shit has _nothing_ to do with rallos zek or anything even remotely related to mmorpg's.

to answer your question-- spanish is easy, i learned both german and spanish in college, and spanish was definitely easier. but i'm sure any native speaker would die laughing if they ever heard a redneck like you trying to speak it.

Hey Ling, I think there are better threads than this, for what you just said. Like the ones with . as the subject and ... in the body. Darkenbane forums specifically Rallos Zek forum is more of a general forum, half the shit on this board isn't even EQ related. If you want a moderated forum, then go else where.

did i ask for your permission to post anything linguica?

i will discuss whatever the fuck i want to until meter, the owner of the board asks me not to.

to answer your question, yes i could post MUCH more non everquest related topics if you wish, if you dont like the shit i post dont fucking read it.

And be sure to drop by when you are in the neighborhood.

Whitch shouldn't be a problem because for people from the US everything in Holland is in the neighborhood. =)
