I just downloaded it.
And when i goto gamespy thingy to find a game it says launching game. but then a error popup. saying *There was an error prevented the gamefrom being launched. Check to make sure the game is properlyinstalled and that the patch is correct*

kk i think its installed right but how do i check that?
also where do i download patches?

Just REinstalled directX 8.1 upgraded my driver for GEforce2 GTS 64 MB card. but the game still wont fucking load. im getting relaly pissed. i want to fucking play.

K i downloaded the game like 5 times now each from a different download site. REinstalled the game atleats 50 times now. and it STILL wont fucking load.

My screen does black for 1 mili sec and then pops back to desktop. when i try to launch a game from Gamespy it comes with an error. Saying > There was an error prevented the game from being launched. Check to make sure the game is properly installed and that the patch is correct*


Any idea's?

Game is awesome, thanks for the link Meter. I see alot of potential for griefers. Team Killing being the least opportunity.

For example. You can run both Jap ships aground, then switch teams. Or blow up all the American planes then switch. Guess thats where there are so many locked servers.

Big difference between the EA servers and Joe Smoe's servers. ( too much lag if you play on someones dedicated unless you keep the numbers down.

One thing I think is sweet is to Scout and target for the big guns, but to get people to work with you is tough.. everyone wants to be a freak'n pilot.. Cant wait to see the other game types (team deathmatch, ECT ) .

come on Sept 12th.. I want more maps.. tired of that little island

i like this game a lot, single player sucks but the multiplayer owns.

its funny as hell how people "camp" the airplanes, i usually roll up a jap sniper and get into one of a few different positions and pick them off while they fight over the airplanes funny as hell =P

or that one anti aircraft gun, perfect position to kill them as they lift off.


team killers are a pain in the ass yeah, but it was funny as hell last night i was playing and people were blowing each other away over the airplanes so i got into a tank and started killing everybody =P, would just follow the dots on my radar lol then everyone started killing each other, was 5 or 6 people having a knife fight in one of the bunkers and i threw a grenade in and killed them all lol.

dont know why everyone likes the airplanes so much myself, hard as fuck to hit anything with them i can get more kills by being on the ground than being in a plane.

Right now i cant play the game because the bandwidth on a 56k4 dial-up connection is not sufficient. ISDN on thursday but i doubt that will solve the connection problems.

For those having trouble with the planes.....turn the mouse sensitivity way up on the aviation tab. Helps alot.

yeah my prob with the planes though is i can never get the damn bombs to hit what i want because you cant see the bogies until the last minute and if you slow down the plane stalls and you crash, and the guns on the plane are pretty much worthless.

The guns are completely useful hehe, you just have to get better at piloting. As for bombing, you have to go by your best judgement, I hit f9 when I'm in the plane to get rid of the cockpit display, that helps me better.

Bombs? I know they are on the plane but how do I drop those. I always Kamikaze into the enemy =)

Man the game is ok.

Much like DoD actually, except you can drive/fly vehicles, which is quite nice. For some reason I always end up back playing CS when I try another fps though (despite all the 13 yr old morons in CS). So far no other fps I have tried tops CS for the long haul. Pretty cool game though.

God I hope SB is a good game, I am dying to get back to MMPRPGs and EQ is dead to me.
