Call me crazy, but I am gonna try to start a pvp discussion on this board :P

With 150 mr my shaman is still getting snared from time to time. Before the resist changes I used to bury sow under 8 buffs because snare NEVER landed. But now it happens more than I would like. So I wonder how to deal with this. (snare kills shamans)

Heres the options:

Put sow in the first slot so that snare can be pumiced? This means that if someone pumices me first I lose my sow which would suck. (I could buy some jboots to fix that tho)

Put sow in the last slot and work on getting closer to 200 mr. But the risk / reward of wearing 200 mr all the time doesnt seem to be worth it because snare will still land from time to time.

Or put sow after my shit buffs but before my resist buffs. This way if someone tries to pumice me it will take a few shots to get my sow. And if snare lands I dont have to remove my resists to pumice it. I am leaning towards this...

answer! = sow boots, put sow in one of your first 2 slots *first one is normally empty then i have like feet like cat or something not too important then sow. if snared i pumice and it normally gets rid of it and just click sow boots :P

But EQ is really sucking lately. I can actually say I dislike the game.
I don't even care to pk anymore. I don't waste my time with the new blind,root,snare bullshit.
I also notice the new bandwagon is people are making newbie ENCs to pk.

EQ is starting to suck big time now. I spent some time testing out the resists tonight and it is friggan ridiculous. There is really no point in wearing resist gear anymore, I hate to say it.
But its still fun to kill peeps with my original pk.. an enchanter of course :p

Serious man its time to go naked,and carry some focus items. I think IMO its a waste of time to wear gear due to it not saving us in the first place.
I think I will be stripping off my BD,and going naked all the way with some nokis rings and shit.

Zania is going to 24 and staying there forever.. I pked at 20 for about 6 months but the nukes are too weak it takes forever to kill peeps.. (of course they are blind the whole time so it dont really matter) But running around in all nodrop... shit I might as well play on tallon again.

I always had my sow in first slot simply because getting snared or rooted happens and it really sucks if you cannot dispell root or snare on the first cast.

Man I was leveling my new mage in High Keep right ? I am at Oscar getting this bad ass experience. When out from nowhere some chic gnome ENC comes right in the room,mezes my pet. I press the cancel magic on my mezed pet,and my air pet starts pounding on the enc.

Well right before my very eyes a guard comes right at me,and smack {Lucky I have jboots,and have like 800hps at 24}. I run my ass out the prison,and hit the zone.

Than I see a bright light of a sexy ass Dark elf female ENC saying "make me, make me, please you will be a nasty mother fucker" !!

So I look in the bank,I see I have lots of cool CHA shit I pked,and int stuff. ENC own now in pking,and blind will stick lol believe that !!

I do think gnome chics are pretty funny,and you can't even see them coming. I am going to switch illusions all the time so people don't know what race I really am lol It will be fun. When I am walking through Qeynos I'll use the human form lol Dark Elf I'll do that illusion in privacy.

Enc are very fun cause we get to go in different cities,and switch illusions to the ones that are kos lol
I think Gnome chics are like the most smallest in EQ,so that is the best race to go stealth,and gank someone with surprise.:D

Enchanters got some nice changes in recent patches too. Nukes never seem to get full resist now, and the biggest is that pet no longer breaks mez. You can attack 2 or 3 peeps with pet up and regardless if they start aggro when you land mez pet will leave them alone now.
Root plus blind and a few nukes with a quickness buffed chanter pet is nasty shit and if you are conservative with mana you can kill 3 peeps if they dont break mez.
Im really surprised most enchanter pks dont use pets though. They dont cause aggro and they can chew up a int caster hmmm.
Plus running around in halfee or troll form your victums dont know whats going on. I cant tell you how many times someone sent me a post mortem tell "damn you shamans" or some shit like that :D after I killed em as a trollie

Bozer yes man I think people that pk with an ENC should use the pet. Thats owns that pet doesnt break the mez,it is the shit :D

I am so happy I made another ENC,today I was killing everyone I came in range to in Nek. Thanks to my pet also that interupted the casters.

Blind stuck,mezes stuck,and my DD hit for full. I was very happy knowing my ENC rocked.

Only thing that sucks is not enough mana but I'll fix that with gear heh Plus once I hit 16 I will have plenty of mana

I also bought strip enchantment in the bazaar yesteday for 50pp :) What a deal !!!!

By far the number one problem with pking chanter at low levels is lack of mana. :confused: but the problem is if you jack up int to 200 your charisma and hp and mr suffer. I used to go all out int, but now since I pk in 2 person groups now I jack charisma up to 160 (so mez sticks), int sits only at like 148.
If your pking solo, c3 makes a HUGE difference, other than a necro I dont think any class gets more from having c3. When I leveled from 20-24 in ek I had c3 all the time, (when resists first were changed so nothing was resistable) and used to jump crag groups solo all the time. Its so much fun systematically picking a group apart while each one is mezzed waiting for his death :eek: c3 is a must for pking chanter.

No point in pking with main anymore, pvp sucks past 30. Everyone wears all nodrop and you spend hours looking for a single target. But playing 24 chanter and 14 wizzy its nonstop action. Im actually enjoying eq again :D
