My buddies dad body builds but i dont wanna seem like an idiot and ask him.

Most gyms have instructors that make a program for you?
The gym i go to, an instructor reviews my program every month for updates and changes. Comes with the membership.

Sure man I'll make you a sweet workout program man. I can give you a program if you want mass,or just want to get ripped.

I would say eat about 5 small meals a day,or if you can't fit the 5,just 3 good meals, and drink some supplement shake 2 times.

Go with Protein bro,and go less on the carbs atm. Eating is a big thing with training no doubt.

But actually you should balance it out with one type of protein, one Carbohydrate, one complex carbohydrate. Thats the perfect meal balance.

Go to the store and get cans of tuna, turkey lunchmeat, supplement weight gain shake, oatmeal.

I would say the best thing to eat before your workout is a bowl of oatmeal.

Also if you want a good book on Bodybuilding I recommend "Arnold Schwarzeneggars sp? Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding".

This book tells you everything you need to know about training, eating, and everything about getting that good workout.

Also bro you will need to go to bed at night so your muscles will rest.

You break the muscles first, than you eat to feed them, than you rest, and they repair themselves, and grow bigger.

Your muscles is made of the most water,so drink lots of water.

If you need any info on a good training program I willl gladly send you some sweet info I used.

I also used that Arnold book when I started working out.

Educating oneself in bodybuilding is the best way to get that winning body.

Before you check out websites,go pick up that book my man. It's the shit heh

:D :D :D :D :D

Hows your workout bro ?

I don't use free weights anymore heh I love the Bowflex so much.

Tar,

How are those bowflex systems?. are they worth the money.. with free weights you have to get a spotter for the bench , can you bench with those systems.. $1500 is alot of loot for one but if they work then it must be worth it.. I need to start back up myself because before I got my desk job I had a very physical job and it keep me down around 145 pounds and in shape ( yea me was little guy).. but now I put on and extra 25 lbs sitting on my ass in this office ..lol Damm computers heheh.

anyway since I got the weight now I should be able to build bulk ( before all I could get was cut ..bah) fast metab is now gone I think.. guess thats what happens when you hit 35 ..ouch!

Let me know if that system is really that good as they say on tv

thanks bubba

Yeah man it's really worth 1500 heh Anything that gives resistance works no matter what it is.

I am 195 lbs now,and ripped from the Boxflex. So you can definately do it to no doubt.

Yes benching owns on it because not only do you use the cuffs, you can also attach a regular benching bar to it,and bench press ,and feel the resistance just like you do at the gym.

I would recommend getting one if you have a desk job now,and wanna get mass.

You only have to do it like 20 minutes a day,and 3 times a week so that owns heh THose 2 hour workouts are in the past, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah man if you put on 25lbs,you can definately turn it into mass.

Bowflex automatically gets you ripped because your using like all the muscles parts when you contracting your muscles.

Yeah Bowflex owns since you can be alone in a room without a spotter also.

I just go in my basement, turn on some Nu Metal, and its the shit !!! :D

You should really look into getting one because they are made for anyone.

I wasn't getting the results I wanted when I was working out with free weights but now using the Bowflex I am so pleased with the results.

I would definately recommend checking one out.

bodybuilding.com

go to forums, search for whatever you want.

Teen BB section is probably best, thats the forum where most routines get posted.

Worked out on my friends bowflex ( or similar brand). Wasnt a real comfortable workout to me. Nothing beats the barbells and dumbells for me. I like the gym atmosphere. Walking in just pumps me up. Trying to work out at home, i get bored quick. Since the local boxing gym closed doors, i only do my boxing routine at home and goto the gym for weight training. They have a heavy bag at the gym, but is infested with dust, when you do work out on it, ppl look at you as your a "roid raged" freak.

The bowflex seemed akward(sp) to me. You set it up for 200 lbs and it feels more like 300. Didnt feel the burn well and only felt resistance on the positive not the negitive movements. Who knows maybe i just wasnt using it right. But ive been lifting off and on for about 12 years. Went from 135 to 250, so as i said free weights give results.

All i can say is if you do get one, use the hell out of it for the trial period or your gonna find yourself posting it in the local bullitien board trying to sale it for a quarter of what you paid.

Far as the extra LB's bro, work the shit off via cardiovascular. You dont turn fat to mucle. Burn the fat , build muscle bulk. I recommend at least 30 - 45 min of cardio (treadmill - bike) per day, whether you think you need it or not. Cause all the extra calories you intake from shakes, food, etc. need to be burned doing more than weight training. And get your lazy ass up from the comp and walk around. Shit every time i would talk to you and Dave via phone or in game, your asses were sleeping!

:D

To learn to like it,and also you can get up to 410 lbs once you are ready to add extra rods.

I have the same feeling on the Bowflex as I do on free weights.

Also Cardio should be 15 minutes at the most//

Only Cardio he should be doing is going on the bike, and getting blood to the muscles.

If he wants mass,he has to go heavy, and less cardio.

He has to get his body to a block of stone first, than he can start carving the perfect statue.

Cardio I never believed in much. I don't run at all or do a huge cardio workout.

15 minutes on the bike is enuff, and just warm up a little.

Stretching a little bit also. Everyone always thinks Cardio is everything in bodybuilding,it's not.

You don't have to do a full cardio workout thats for sure. Thats for the oldmen, and chics in aerobics.

15 minutes on the bike, stretch, warmup, and get ready to start pumping some iron, and get that massive ass body.

See muscle is the hardest thing to build. So I suggest doing everything you can to get the size first because if your going to start dieting for cuts you are wasting your time if you want to be wide and thick.

Also depends on Kanos and Lees goals in how they should do this.

I suggest eat everything in sight, and gain the weight. Than go to Cardio, and worry about what you eat later to get ripped.

IMO that's the fastest way to getting huge and ripped. Go high protein if you can no doubt.

Eat potatos, tuna, red meat, chicken, even fast food to gain the weight.

You won't be ripped yet,and you also won't be fat {sure you will have some fat on you} due to working out. You will have muscle mass but you won't be ripped just yet.

Gain that weight first is my advice :D

I eat/diet properly already. I take all the right supplements/protien.
My eatting habits are fine.

My question is, a workout routine.

How many times a week should i work each muscle group? What muscle groups should I work out together? What exercises for each muscle group?

Right now, My workout is kinda all over the place.

Heres what ive been doing lately.

I created my own 3 day workout with day 4 muscle of choice.

Day 1. Triceps, bicep, shoulder, back, chest.
Day 2. Legs (all leg muscles), forearm, wrist, abs.
Day 3. I mix day 1 and 2 together but do different exercises for each muscle.
Day 4. I work on whatever is not too sore still.

Thats a really sloppy routine though, I need a good one.

BTW, machines suck IMO, dumbells own all.

Im not looking to get mad mass, but more trying to get some definition. Although mass is good too.

God, I've been going for about a year (About 3 or 4 days a week, I stopped during the summer because of summer job and going on a vacation).

I mainly use machines and am quite the newbie to working out :O)

I have seen an improvement, but seems that should've been a bit more in a year, I think it might be because i'm only using one dumbell workout. I went with another guy once, who did all dumbells, and he got alot of results quite faster, I tried some of the stuff he was doing and still haven't been able to top it with machines, so i'm gonna try and get a dumbell plan.

I'm not in it to build mass so much as tone some muscles and get in shape...

I do a 3 day plan~

Day 1 - Arms, 10 minutes on bike, 20 minutes of treadmill cardio.
Day 2 - Legs, 10 minutes on bike, 20 minutes of treadmill cardio.
Day 3 - Chest, Abs and Back, 10 minutes on bike, 20 minutes of treadmill cardio.

But one of the reasons i'm not doing it too extensively is because i'm only 15, and I could build alot of muscle, get a growth spurt and it would all be put to waste, when i get into college or get a bit older I plan on getting more serious into it.

I never knew you worked out sid, or i'd of asked you about some stuff...

This is the perfect spread ......

Monday : Chest,Back,Abs

Tuesday :Shoulders, upper arms,forearms,abs {do abs everyday since they can be worked due to being a small muscle}

Wednesday :Thighs,Calves,Lower Back,abs

Thursday :Chest Back,Abs

Friday : Shoulders,upper arms,forearms,abs

Saturday :Thighs,Calves,Lower back,abs

Sunday :Rest day

I would say don't stick to one type of exercise like for example on chest. You don't always have to bench press everytime you do chest. One week do dumbells presses, one week do bench pressing. Confuse your muscles, they will grow bigtime.

always do 5 sets of 8 to 12 reps bro.

Pick 3 exercises to do per body part, and change the exercise everytime you do them. You don't have to do it that way but it's the way to go IMHO.

Also man for abs I would do 5 sets of 25 reps for crunches, and leg raises.

If your going for definition, Go with that program for sure.

It also won't hurt to do one HUGE HEAVY exercise each WEEK.

For example when your doing your back. Do 2 exercises 8 to 12 reps, and than pick one exercise to do for 3 sets of 10,6,4 to failure. Example would be one HEAVY exercise of Barbell uprights rolls.

You can do positives, and negatives to. THeres strip down exercises.

My favorite exercise was doing "21"s

Also machine own if you like them. Just a matter of someones preference.

THe BOwflex is the shit IMHO. It got my body everything I wanted in a physique.

Kanos check that program out,and you will rock.

Yeah once I get around to it i'll take some new pictures, and send them. Just been too busy bro heh

I been working out since I was 14 heh At first I was an obsessed ass about being huge and stuff. I weighed like 210lbs at one time in muscle.

Now I workout to be ripped, and look good. I take it easy, and enjoy it rather than being "Mr Venice beach ego".

Bodybuilding is also alot of politics,it seems wherever you go in life or a hobby you seem to not get away from them.

Gink your workout is very good for a 15 year old IMO. If you need any info feel free to ask.

Also I have a control freak cousin that is a bodybuilder, and he brainwashed me in seeing it as a religion.

Now that I got away from him,I am doing my own thing, and enjoying what I do than obsessing whose the biggest.....

Just certain men, like bodybuilders, who critisize/admire other men's bodies. Competitions, they walk around lubing eachother up in speedos. Isn't there a hint of fudgepackingness? Be objective.

DArkfrost187
11-13-2002, 02:30 PM
What about normal everyday people that walk around in speedos on the beach or wear shorts around eachother ?

There might be some fags that workout but theres also fags that don't workout. It depends on who the person is and if he or she prefers dick or puss.

I would say it's just the opposite. We are competitive {least I used to be} with eachother in the bodybuilding world so theres adversarys than loving eachother.

No bodybuilding is in no way shape or form a homo sexual sport, but yes some are ghey but not all like you read,or the myths you listen to.
