In case anyone was wondering, me and Astoron moved to Legends for awhile to get levels and gear. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing so I didnt have a chance to tell anyone, but we will be back on rallos in a month or 2 with badass gear and ready to rape some of these shit talking high level fuckers. Manaburn and improved HT together, damn thats some scary shit.

...anyone who says that Darxus and Astoron had/have no PvP presence in EQ is sadly mistaken.

When Velious first came out, I was a little late getting it. I finally got it about three weeks after release and decided to go explore. I saw that Darxus was online and I knew that he had a little knowledge of Velious so I asked him if he wanted to meet somewhere. He said we could go to Skyshrine. Now I was new to Velious, but I did know that Skyshrine was heavily populated by antis trying to get exp and no drop armor...and at the time we were right in the middle level range of EVERYone that would be there. What did Darxus say? He said, "Hehe, it's np bro. We don't have to worry about them." I figured that he had some sort of truce with them that allowed us known pkers to hunt there. Oh he had a truce, alright :P The truce was, "Hi, I'm Darxus, you leave me and everyone with me alone or I kill you again." It turns out that he had killed SO MANY people in the zone SO MANY times that they let him hunt there out of pure intimidation! Lol I laughed for an hour after I saw how people just moved the hell out of his way. He was like that bully in 8th grade that grew faster than everyone else so he could push EVERYONE around~

Astoron Bloodstar is older than old. He was killing people in South Karana while the rest of us were still trying to beat the moving airship level on Super Mario Brothers 3. That's right, he's been around a while :P He was one of the elite few that claimed the West Karana barbarians (a sought after hunting spot when it was just Old World) for Darkenbane members and DB members ONLY. There were not many zones back then, so it took a pretty intimidating force to claim an entire camp. Darkenbane was that force, and Astoron was one of the leaders. How many of you can say that you have pked alongside Alec SoulStryke? Graraige Studmuffin? Meter Methodical? Some of the most intimidating and respected names in Rallos Zek history? Astoron can say that and mean it. I can also say that, however I am not nearly as old school as Astoron. He's been here since the BEGINNING! While you all were still trying to get the spread gun in Contra!!

I am not saying they are the best pkers ever to live, nor am I saying they are the oldest pkers around. I am saying if you don't know all the facts, then you cannot give them the respect that they deserve. This post is just an attempt to make some people aware of the history of Rallos Zek, and how Darxus and Astoron have made an impact on it~

a necro at the time that knew his shit, which most were few and far between was an unrivaled pvp class, i was easily one of the best if not THE best druid pk on the server at the time and i dueled several necros where it ended in a stalemate because i couldnt keep up with their mana regen and they couldnt kepe upo with my heals.

a necro had it all,

pet for dungeon killing.

mana regen.

so many dots, especially low level 1 - 2 sec cast ones that you xcould bury splurt and the other good shit 10 slots deep.

the lifetap that was bugged throughout the entire time i played eq that while only damaging someone for the 66 or 70 opercent full damage it still HEALED you for full, which at 55+ was basically the entire hp of the necro, not to mention that the lifetaps did as much as a nuke in damage and were completely unreasistable, therby allowing you to just deflux the lesser skilled people to death.

the life leech line that when you dispell it from yourself stayed healing you unless the person took the 7 or so seconds required to dispell both them and you, which is time for 2 defluxs.

invuln for running like a bitch and zoneplugging, something all necros were good at.

and a bunch of other shit, you just suked because........

In case no one knows, let me explain. Mage pets auto aggro'd when you attacked them, and attacked anyone else too once the original owner zoned. Old news.

Old news part 2, when a necro attacked his pet, it would attack him till he zoned, then it would remain inert. UNLESS he was parked near undead mobs, where if someone attacked an undead mob (Say at the ruins in Nektulos) the pet would assist the lower level undead and rape any who aggro'd it.

yeah i was the bluebie druid that was reverants and sofs main pvper/enforcer for the longest time and warred half of the server at all times for a year and a half and half of the gear i acquired was acquired through fighting other guilds and groups for rights to the spawn until my guild pussied out to begotten after i killed members of the peacebreakers, synergy, and a half dozen other guilds or groups for them every single time i logged on evenutally making the entire high level community hate my guts since i killed them so often and making it politicially feasible for my guild and planar group to cower out the back door and ditch me in exchange for a truce, at which time i went solo random pker for a while until gray talked me into coming to DB (me and gray had been enemy friends for years before that and talked often), then i was db on rz for about 8 months until gray got banned and was with DB from the start on sullon for about another 8 months until daoc came out (and the inner guild loot bickering and stupid new members we had gotten started to annoy me immensely) and i played that with meter, rabdallas, vega and jotok.

though if you were below 50 - 55 you prob nev er heard of me since i was in that level bracket soon after kunark came out and was almost always stuck babysitting in the planes or on a raid of some kind since i was an officer of the reverant or guildwarring when i wasnt doing that i was a solo player 99% of the time including pvp.


there should be a fucking statue of me in the middle of surefall glade, or they should rename one of the druid trainers to darwoth in honor of my extreme unrelenting unrivaled ownage of all, thank you.

yeah now gear > skill, which is why i dont play back before during kunark and lesser but still in velious skill played a large part of who would win, which is why on sullon opening up the neutral team wearing tizmak tunics and velium weapons were beating the shit out of the evils in their already full planar suits.

the best gear i ever got there was a set of diamond and blue diamond with a TIZMAK tunic and a dark ember, my max wisdom in pvp equip was like 140 and i cant count the number of velious quest armored, full resist geared evil fuckwipes i annihilated there thinking their gear woudl save their ass.


and the fact ytou think necros sucked at pvp just goes to show its you that sucks, and btw i wasnt saying you hjad to have good gear dumbass, i was saying you wore NO GEAR, as in not even a plat jacinth ring lol, i mean its pretty damn sad when you get snared on the first attempt by people 4 levels lower than you every single time.

But I have to disagree with you when you say that necros suck. I have pvped with every class and my current character is a level 57 necro. Two of the reasons I made a necro was because they level fast and they are extremely powerful in pvp at 50+. The spells do have a long casting time and deflux is ineffective against skin spells BUT if you can manage to play with range to get your spells off, keep your pet free most of the fight, keep your HPs up bytapping low level mobs in the zone so you can pvp in lich form (so you have nearly infinite mana), and properly use pumice and annul magic to eventually wear down the buffs on your opponent...then you will have a blast pvping with a necro. Not to mention the fact that necros get harmshield (which I ALWAYS have up), shadowstep, root (for pets), and skin spells of their own. These allow the necro to either escape or take their time in a fight.

If you can manage to stack poison and disease dots while keeping your pet free, then you will have time to annul and pumice the opponent while they try to get rid of the dots. Usually I will lead with splurt (against a pvper who knows what he/she is doing) and stick an ebolt or plague on them while they are dispelling splurt. Once they have dispelled splurt I will annul them and pumice them (if you have mage ring and cast annul then click pumice, you can dispell 4-5 buffs in like 6 seconds time), and that will usually kill either the HP/resist buffs the opponent has, or the skin spells. Then deflux is your motha fuckin best friend ;)

People may find flaws in my tactics, but they have proved to work well for me vs some of the mid to high skill level pvpers on Sullon. Even if you can't win the fight, there is a variety of LEGAL ways that the necro can escape and live to see another day. I can count the time I have been coined on one hand, I think it may be up to 5. Two of which were manaburn and one was to 600 point bow shots...fucking rangers.

Also consider the fact that necros cannot be mezzed at all in lich form. I think I make a pretty good argument for necros~ And of course, after 54, our level of pvp ownage increases exponentially~

...the 56 lich takes out 48hps a tick so you will still have to use your taps. I need new hand held items though, Sorcerous Bowl and Drachnid Thyxll are tired. Almost 59 though, and well on my way to 61 where I can camp just about anything.

Dempig I lost to a smart druid yesterday too. He dispelled me while I was kiting a rat near the zone in PoD, then was able to debuff me before I finally killed the fuckin mob. He was levitated and I was not, so he was able to run out over the water, out of range of my spells, before I could get a couple casts off. If I was buffed I would have been able to kill him before he got his heals off (which saved his ass at 10% hps) but I couldn't. The thing that pisses me off about druids are the manaless dots they have for their range play. Drones of doom isn't very harsh when you have 2k+ hps but 8 dronds of dooms can get a little annoying. I used two pumices lol and everytime I tried to sit and mem DMF he would come at me. Finally he got in close enough and hit me with a moonfire while I as tapping at him. 207dmg lifetap VS 700dmg moonfire wasn't really working for me so I was about to harmshield and run when BOOM he crit 1340dmg wildfire on me and that was that. Actually it took me to about 5 hps and I have lich on so I killed myself and saved him from gettin coin...still lost exp though ((

To sum up this ramble, yes, a smart druid can beat an unprepared necro, but most of the time the necro will win, that is, if necro is able to keep druid on the defensive. BTW I'm 58 and druid was 62 but still, no excuse :P

Lite still had a bub and a bit of hp, didn't even LoH just did another pally heal over time spell, stunned Timon, killed him. Not saying Timon is bad or anything, just putting emphasis on how little you know.

On my ranger I will duel any SK on legends and rip them apart in an outdoor zone or lake rathe arena.

I could go into how a nec could beat a SK, and many other classes could also.

You wanna know what i wore back in the days of pre kunark? A dark circlet , jboots , and a few other pieces of no drop,

But ive never worn aviak charm. You say there is screens , then post them you cock smoking bitch. There are none. Who gives a fuck if i didnt wear gear during old world and kunark? Hardly any solo pkers did.

If I did pk some gear I usually sold it to twink up my warrior that owned the fuck out of oasis area with dual yaks , fbss , and ssb and all that other shit that was considered uber back then.

Dempig was fully geared lvls 1-20 , till i lost my smr , then quit wearin gear till a little after Velious when i got my account back after someone i knew jacked it and stripped it. Then i worked my way up on rallos got about 20k in gear , went to legends and got pretty rich with about 150k or more gear , came back to rallos for awhile and didnt die once when i had that gear. Then quit soon after because EVERYONE was in no drop. The only gear you could find was those gay 15 stat bracers with 10 sv all , and blue diamond shit.

Rallos pvp is worthless now.

Actually Meter, not sure how long it's been since you played, but you can't loot anything they are wearing. anything in their inventory is fair game however.

When you die now, items take damage, which if they are good items, you want to repair to prevent them from breaking, and if they are magic, will cost you some bucks.

THey changed that a few months ago I beleive.

I told him to come into the arena so I could test my melee. Chapelsoth burned him as soon as he was in and Tim HT'd a second later. Over 10k combined, was an absolute no skill gank, but made a nice screeny. :)
