How do i burn mp3 cd's?

I got a new deck for my car and it plays mp3's. But I dont know how to make a mp3 cd. My program automatically changes the format of the song.

I hear with it in mp3 format i can have like 300 songs on a cd.

Please help.

There should be an option with whatever burning program you use to make a "Data" cd, and not an "audio" cd. You should be able to get somewhere between 150 and 200 songs on one cd depending on length and quality.
