Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven

Anyone played this game yet? If so, how is it?

I was a huge fan of the first Tenchu , and it remains one of my all time favourite console games.

Tenchu 2, wasnt good in my opinion due to the nerf on grappling hooks.


My PS2 is hooked up in my car for now, and my car is in the garage for winter, so I cant play the newest version of tenchu.

Should be a great game, from what I've seen Rikimaru is in it so it must take place after the second, since he dies in the first.

This game is great. Friend of mine bought it the other day and we've been playing it for some time. Like the first Tenchu games, you get to chose from 2 different characters, one male, one female. Each have their on storyline that it follows. A great thing is that each character has a different storyline.

I'd have to say the few major things that turn me on to this game:

1) 2 Player Mode. FINALLY After you complete a stage on single player, you can then play that level in a Co-Op or Versus game style with another player.

2) Instant kill movie clips. This is probably the best gameplay feature in the game. When you approach an enemy in full stealth, and undetected, you are able to do an instant kill move. The move differs GREATLY on the distance you use this attack from the enemy, as well as the angle you attack him at. Everything from taking an enemy's head off with one sword swing - to jumping on someone's shoulders and violently swinging them head first into the ground, smashing their neck.

3) Weapons. So many more weapons and items in this game compared to the other Tenchu games. Poison Coated swords, Spells.

My 2 cents
