Well, I'm just afraid the release date is going to be a year from now. Not that it would matter much, I'm sure we all have plenty of games to keep us occupied, especially with all the games mentioned at E3 that are coming out this fall.

I saw the video and man does it look sweet.I agree its is eye candy big time. I love the character molds too. The whole game just looks like fun to me. The only thing is blizzards games have been known to be push back several times before they are released. Wasn't Diablo 2 pushed back like 3 times? Not sure. But WW looks like its close to beta to me. Hopefully I'll get to beta that beast.

Yeah, unfortunately Blizzard has a history of pushing back games for months. But, I would rather have a *fun* game to play thats *correctly* balanced then that piece of shit Everquest.

I just took a look at the WoW E3 video. Although pvp might be limited, it does NOT look like a camp and hack game. Like we saw many events where hordes of orcs attacked humans and visa versa. The graphics=amazing. It also looks like a game thats smooth and has limited lag, Blizzard has always been pretty good at internet hosting (cough...battle net- even though it will be a little different with WoW). Lets just see how hard it will be to lvl....I pray to God everyday its not as slow as EQ or DAOC.

I completly agree with Astoron Gray. DB was the first guild I enjoyed myself in, and proudly would join up with them again if you were leading. I have actually picked up SB and Planetside. SB i only played for a second but it seems interesting, and planetside i played my neighbors account here at school (he plays on emerald but on TR :p in the clan Knights of the Black Dragon) In general though I am waiting for WoW, and by the time the game comes out I will have my computer nice and ready to play it. So yea, if DB is starting up again on WoW, count me in.

well i went to school in boston. I attend northeastern, though i wont be back for sophmore year, i will be attending during their 3rd year which is called middler year (yes northeastern is a 5 year school). Well, one thing i can for sure say is it looks like an awesome game given you have the hardware to play it. As such, i am really interested in it. They already said they will be building PvP into it which is more then Sony has said for EQ2.

Fact of the matter is Blizzard is a hell of a game developer and WoW is what they are working on. Sony is working on a zillion things including EQ2. My guess is Blizzard will be able to turn out a better game then Sony in this situation head to head for what we like as DB.

Sure it will have blueby stuff....but there is nothing wrong with a little blueby as long as we can go to where its not blueby and have some real fun (against other folks). Darwoth said Saradin said a developer at e3 told him that...blah blah....that sure as fuck sounds like heresay to me.

Meter posted a direct quote from a developer...which definately holds more weight for me. Either way, we will have to wait and see how it goes....who knows? It could just be a flop. I am hoping not, though. DB really needs a game we can all rally around and get back to business of posting those fun screen caps of stupid sheep ;p

I have most of the sites on WoW, and i was just wondering about all this PvP vs PvE zone thing. Sure you get carebare looking gear outside of the PvP area, but it has the same stats, what does this mean? Well basically for people like DB, I know I would rather be in the PvP zones cause to me games are only fun when you are put into some sort of danger of not only the computer mobs, but also players; it makes the game more interesting. So what happens when the true PvPers are trying to get their gear in the PvP zones, but taking a little bit longer due to the PvP aspect, while the bluebies will be FARMING gear without any PvP interruptions? 90% of the world is gonna be non-PvP? so while I spend my time having fun in the 10% of the world, the other 90% of the server will be getting stronger. The majority of the world won't be PvPing. It sounds like Sullon Zek again...these non-PvP fucks are gonna get the uber items since they will just sit and PvE all day long then one day come into the PvP zone and talk all this shit about how good they are etc, then we kill them...hopefully(if they balance the game well enough) but as we have seen on sullon zek as well, it all came down to how many people you had on yourside, and with 90% of the world non-pvp, i can smell a bunch of cowardly antis. The only problem I see right now is this. The whole graphic differences between gear in PvP areas and non PvP areas is a great idea, and I would love to get a full set of black armor, opposed to one with rainbows and upside down pink triangles all over em heh, but still if its the same stats then who cares really? Wait, now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind spreading some chaos with those cute teletubbies on my breastplate ^_^. In general though, I am hoping they will be able to deal with this issue, and from everything I am reading I believe they will sooner or later fix any imbalances they will have in the PvP aspect, or maybe I am just putting my hopes up too high.

Just when ya level, level like mad in the non pvp zones. Im sure no one wants to be a lvlone pker their entirelife, no sense in xpin in the pvp zones when you can at ease in the non-pvp zones, then just spend some time camping pvp zone gear and pkin~

Im sure most people will be basically living inside the world of Warcraft, at the least while its still new, so you'll have plenty of time to do both :D

yea, i was always aware of most likely retreating to leveling in the non-pvp areas, but damn WHERE IS THE FUN IN THAT! i dont know, in these games i like the fact that my name or guild could not only bring fear, but also invoke those who think they are worthy to fight to actually come out and try and kill me while I am leveling, it adds to the fun of things. I will definitely play this game for a bit, but i do have doubts that it will not fill my pvp needs ^_^

Well hell, if enough of us (Darkenbane past an present) are gonna be playing we will more then likely be able to xp at will in the pvp zones as it will be most likely carebears playing i.e. hiding in the non-pvp zones.

Tho Im sure there will be other "pvp" guilds out there, we will crush them thoroughly, Im thinking alot of people from thruout Db's history will be picking this game up, we just all get under the same flag.

Im big on graphics (why I still log into AO every now an then, when I got my cable that is :( ) and WoW looks very, very wow in that department, and hell, all their other games kick booty.

A developer also stated WoW will probably have full pvp servers like we have in EQ. We will have to wait and see how classes are balanced and such though.

My guess is they will have full PvP servers like EQ. The difference, however, is they apparently are putting <i>some</i> thought into PvP by having 10% of <i>every</i> server pvp.

It's not a pure PvP game like SB or DAOC was supposed to be, but we now know those kind of games are not always the best for longevity. Planetside cannot get any more pure pvp then it is...and it is turning out to be more of a niche game.

WoW has the potential to entertain everyone. And thus have more victims for us! What i think we should be planning for is the PvP servers and start thinking about which race we will be.

Yes we need someone in beta for sure. I've applied like 6 times, but that doesn't mean much. Does anyone have any Ideas on a race so far like GrayRage suggested? Do you guys think our race should be evil or just the race with the best classes? Also I hope the PvP areas will be rough zones, maybe where the best gear is found. That would make people go into a pvp where they would then have their asses handed to them by the best of the best, DARKENBANE! Who knows Maybe they will have pure pvp servers and teams servers like EQ did. I hope the loot system is a LOOT ITEM and GOLD system!

As far as i know you cannot apply for beta yet and the early stages of beta only ppl living in Korea and the US can apply.
