Well apparently the beta could be starting sometime in August. Can we get a link here when the signup goes up? I will absolutely without a doubt be playing WOW with Darkenbane when it comes out, especially since every game I have ever played by Blizzard has kicked ass. I'm gonna have to buy some more ram for my monster gaming machine tho ;p

Only thing is, I hope pvp isn't like dueling. It would be nice if they made a seperate server for people who want to pvp.

There is no date set yet, but we estimate August. You can be asured i will make an annoucement on the News page (front DB page) and there will be posts here.

Yar, one of the big reasons I left was the incessant training. It was fun early on, but it got old when the keyed areas and flags made it so some people could train...but not be trained back. There were many others reasons, not the least of which was the small population which forced ToW to take just about any applicant (and thus picked up several bad apples). Alot of good guys there too tho...just to many bad ones to make it worth the time.

We did enough in EQ. I had alot of fun in the game. But its old now....and over. PS is fun as hell.....and WoW looks awesome. I am really hopeful WoW becomes the game to unite Darkenbane new and old alike in one game where we can shine once again as a power to be hated (or loved-depedning on who you are).

I am not sure how we will play WoW...until after we see how the game works, but that's what this board is for!

Everquest sucks for many reasons, but please don't cry about training.

Neuts started it waaaaaaaay back remember faction training and summoning in WW and ToV? I know I do.

Then each side found new ways to train in new and creative ways over the months....blah blah fast forward to more recent times.

What do we have? Oh that's right neuts exploiting agnar's bind, day and night with faction training. Well you can assume blocking the best guild on server from the elemental planes *might* annoy them just a *little* bit. Hence your guild made their bed now doesn't like it....what gives? ;p

Hey Hama!:) yea i got nothing against training, we all did it at some point, but in the defence for the neut side, when they were coming in with their godly quest gear and outnumbering us most of the time, the only thing we could do was train to give us a fighting chance. Whatever though it is all in the past, eq is dead.

No what sucks about it now is the evils cannot be trained in their exp spots and their event spots...while Neutrals and Goods can. Thats called Inbalance. That's what EQ does wrong...they do not balance well for things that relate to PvP ...like PvP itself, teams...and training.

The evils were never ever trained in VT. They were never ever trained in SSRA. They surely are never trained in elemental planes...their entire road up was done without training because of flags/keys....whilst the oppsite is not true for the other teams. Why should it be different? Why should the evils have been able to advance without worrying about training...but the others cannot? Well...it's simple inbalance. That never should have exited if they had made the teams even remotely close in power makeup.

/shrug...not gonna fuss about it as it does not matter. I am done with EQ and had fun. Inbalances or no.

Well of course EQ is imbalanced, it has been and forever will be.

And you can pout unfairness or imbalances all you like, but when the neuts had their chances they used every possible trick and exploit and whatever to train the shit out of every other team. From skyshrine to western wastes to agnarr recently. And mind you they were first at it, myself, agrul, lethdar, saii among others were those neuts so I would know ;p

And I still can't believe all this boring talk of someone being too scared or too sucky to pvp so they have to train blah blah, how long have you played on this server that you're too blind to see the 2 guilds HATE each other (excuse the pun!) and will do anything just for the simple fact of pissing the other person off.

The only reason there is a notion that that the "neutral started the training" was because we were the firt ones to have the chance (in SS). What were the evils gonna train on us? Giants in GD? They were 10 or 20 levels higher then us and outnumbered us....why would they need to train anything when they could just kill us in 2 hits anyhow.

So, that is silly that "we started it". Fact is...I was level 44 fighting level 55+.....i am sorry but Conflag does not do well versus lure of anything....

I knew we were WAY outmatched numerically, gear wise and level wise....and I knew we needed to fight them on OUR terms in OUR environment to win. Which is what i planned from day one (factioning- remember our little quest? hehe). I knew when they were in CS fuckin with that dragon it would take very little to lure them into SS...and their DOOOOOOM. Thus, Sullon Zek truly began.

Fact is, though, the training should have been stopped as soon as the server population started to be effected by it so dramatically imho....hell but the balanbce issue should have been addressed too ;p Heck....they did not see a balance problem when evils were in velks while we were level 35? ;p

i dont really care about the hate vs tow shittalk since i think both guilds fucking suck, but man skyshrine was probably easily the funnest time i ever had in everquest.

i still laugh remembering the way wave after wave of evils got obliterated in seconds, lol those big squares rolling down the steps by the dozen after a random lev 30 neutral hauling ass in his top notch tizmak armor was such a funny sight blaha.

then the GMs came and sat and watched and told the evils whining "wel;come to sullon zek", all of the "honorable" crossteaming pussy guilds were afraid to come help us out, holding the bodies for ransom, the bombardment of never ending shittalk on aoiis board where you could visualize the people sitting at their keyboard with spit flying off their face as they smashed out their message on the keyboard......

Sullon zek is a breeding ground for assholes it doesn't matter who trained first or who needed to train and who didn't. If everyone started level 60 with all the gear in the game there would still be training everyday because frankly one person ruining the day of 50 others is funnny~

Back in the day people like Agrul and Saii (no one used more exploits and hax then saii for training~) were just as annoying as Speedd is now, and you couldn't really train the neuts back cause only thing they raided was PoG :(

Anyhow no cheerleading was needed from me, I joined back when Hate sucked, and besides....I had my lover Stormin vouching for me <3

Speaking of girls, this was horrible, me and my gf seperated yesterday (she moved to utah to go to college, and im going to OSU) and anyway, im just taking a summer school class for extra credit, and i was hitting on this girl today, very hot, and we are in the middle of conversation when i start hitting on her, and i see this ring on her wedding finger (a shitty ring, so i figure there is no way she is married at 17) and im thinking no big deal, and i finally ask before i go any further (because she is just staring me up and down constantly flirting), and she's like, yeah my husband gave it to me a while back, i was like holy shit your just 17 though (im 20), how can you be already married? and then I was like wtf was our whole conversation for? she got hurt by that and there was a seat in between me and her, and 5 min later she asked the guy behind me if he wanted to sit there in between us (the fucking faggot liked her too and she knew it, he looks fucking retarded also, like he got beat up in high school all the time). I was like fuck you too bitch.... but im really a nice guy, that just came out bad, mainly because i was pissed because i blew my chance at the other 2 girls in class...

Tim Hortons is like the Canada version of Dunkin Donuts.

I live in a university town and I started too late looking for a summer job. I was considered as bartender for a brand new bar that was opening up and got an interview but it didt work out...

So I ended up at Tim Hortons serving shitty coffee and shitty fast food, I couldnt even get full time hours, they promised me part time to start.

But they didnt give me part time, they only gave me like 12 hours a week, in shitty 4 hour shifts sending me home an hour early every day.

On top of that I was being payed under the table and this is a huge franchise in Canada.

I thought it was pretty fuckin unethical that they would promise me a certain amount of hours, then waste my time. For example you cant hire someone for a week and say they will work from monday to friday for 8 hours each day then send them home early on a thursday. It's just not right....

The reason I ended up at this job was cause I didnt want to live with my parents, we argue too much.

Anyways the manager told me today that I wasn't learning fast enough, when I already knew how to do everything heh and I'm almost as fast as the people who have been there months. So I tried to talk to her reasonably on the phone...I said "Well do you honestly think it would be more cost effective for you to hire someone new and train them for 20 hours to get them to the point where I am now, or just keep me on and get me to the point you want me to be in 10 hours for example".

She didnt respond well to that so I was just like ok whatever thanks for wasting my time when I could have been looking for a real job. I took it really personal at first I even cried, but now I dont give a shit because something seems really weird/seedy about them.

Sorry for the essay I really needed to vent. Now I might have to go home and live with my fricken parents if I cant find a new job within the next few days, I had the rent payed for this place for the entire summer too

Yeah no kidding, but I don't think there are any official boards up yet...

I'm pretty sure that there is going to be at least one pvp server, it would make sense, because that would be like cutting 1/5th the consumers from buying the game.


We just have to absolutely make sure no Ascending Dawn type guilds get in and try to take over the fucking server. Although I have to admit it's hard to be 20 and go to college and compete against a 40 year old who still lives in his parents basement and plays WoW 24/7 because they have no friends, but I guess we'll see.
