If there is a deity server and thats the one we play on yada yada yada we should vote on if we pick the horde or Teh alliance so we dont have to deside when game is released.. might be another Thread about this :\

There is actually alot of discussion about this.

1. We believe there is a possibility ALL of the servers will be faction based PvP. (there is little communication between factions and ZERO grouping). If not all, at least SOME will be like this.

2. Prior to release (about 2 weeks), thus after considerble beta experience, we will have a huge debate about this where everyone will express their view. There will then be a poll and a vote. ONLY those folks admitted to the private board for WoW will be able to vote.

The private board (and creation of DB for WoW) will happen around when the beta starts. I will announce it here.

I for one dont want to be a race that was in EQ. Thats why im playing WoW. Also no one has even seen what the gnomes looks like yet

Haven't seen any new saying gnomes were evil. Maybe you can direct me to the site. Also I stop playing Rubies of eventide :rolleyes: Just wanted to use the 10 day free trail hehe. There was no pking. Just some cool zones and graphics( in some spots). It's funny the new zones they made had sweet water effect shading and just really nice graphics. The old zones were flat ugly and boring. Rubies will never be a really good game . just always a semi neat user interface..

Also so you're saying Orcs can be on the Alliance? I'm not sure this is how the game is gonna work. I think its more of a set race is on a set alliance. Meaning orcs are horde, humans are alliance and so on. There's a post I've read that tells what alliance every race is! Not class.

Also after seeing that go to classes. Humans can be warlocks, thats the alliance. The only other two races not on there are trolls and gnomes. Trolls will go horde and gnomes will go Alliance. It evens out the teams. Yes horde will have some good classes and yes the alliance will have some evil classes, But they sure as hell wont have the same races.

I said evil classes can be on both teams... A warlock is evil.. and so is a rogue however they are on the alliance as well making whatever you said sound completely retarded. Even in EQ you cant be a good gnome they are newt and evil gods only. Not saying that all gnomes are gonna be the same in every game just by lore they arent meant to be goodies.

Summary of Astoron: its a Race server and not a good v evil server. If Darkenbane was to go with alliance it wouldnt conflict with the lore of Darkenbane.

Yes horde will have some good classes and yes the alliance will have some evil classes, But they sure as hell wont have the same races.

The part you talking about gnomes being evil. Warcraft looks to be a good v evil races to me. Have you ever read the warcraft books? maybe thats why we arent on the same page. There are good warlocks in the books. All the races in the horde (from the warcraft books) are evil. Who's ever heard of a good orc. I dont think its a classes that role plays a evil or good alliance. It's the races. So then infact going with the alliance would make us on the good team! :cool: just something to think of Mindgames. Saying that all the kids will go horde has no fact behind it. I would think sense kids are so into lord of the rings and shit right now it would be the other way around. Either way I think the alliance is gonna be boring as hell to play on. All the races just sound...... BORING!!

I was a night elf on EQ... in talking about races ya going horde would make me be a new race. I see no night Elfs in the Horde. Therefore Rhane ya it would be trying something NEW. As for the guild, ya i would like for it to stay evil, ya got me there ;) . No I wont play on the good team. If thats the new you are looking for I'll pass lol. PLus playing WoW over EQ2 would put everyone who follows into trying something new! Maybe im just a dwarf hater though. Not sure I could ever be allied with a Dwarf hehe. Sheesh, just pointing out an inconsistency in your logic, not looking for flame bait.

Personally, I'm the kinda person who looks at what everyone wants to be, and then picks what's left. I can tell you right now, the trend in EQ with Dark Races, and the Trend with Sullon Zek. Everyone and their mother is gonna be "Evil" aligned.

Now if you want to be on the bandwagon side (Remember, they are saying this is a team-oriented game, your "evil" or your "good") Do you REALLY want to be on the same team that all the losers think is "Ub3r l33t coolie cool"? I guess you guys won't really know until beta is around, and you read people talking about what they plan on playing, but statistically speaking, usually the trend races are the Evil/Dark ones.

You can be viscious unrelenting heartless bastards with Good aligned races. You just show no mercy to your opponent, and that's all you need.

Darkenbane chose Neutral in Sullon because they didn't WANT to follow the trend, they didn't WANT to be with the masses, they didn't WANT to be part of the status quo. They wanted to win an uphill battle cause that's what they are about, and that's where the REAL victory is.

Astoron, isn't that REALLY what DB and guilds like DB are about? It's not about Evil races, or Good Races, cool Classes, or Gay classes. Pretty Faces or Ugly faces. It's about bucking the trend and putting all those trendwhores in their place?

And for the record, I'm not Darkenbane Ast, so my thoughts and opinions are my own, nor should they be taken seriously when it comes to an actual guild related discussion concerning your guilds role in a future game. :)

You are 100% correct and tot his day I am still glad of this choice. The evil team was bar none the ghest team to be on and the bluest because everyone and their grandmother picked it.

One thing is for certain, my vote will be based on MANY factors including:

1. Who else is picking what what team (We will have to see what team KAAOS is picking....guessing they will pick whichever is likely to be the most populated).

2. Whichever team is likely to have the least tards.

3. Whichever team will make our chosen playsyle the most fun and compliment us.

4. Cosmetics.

Luckily we will have the beta to see all the classes which will help us make an informed decision. Only those folks in DB WoW for the beta will make the decision (i am not gonna have some clown with no clue about the game voting). The decision will be debated hotly no doubt, but it will be based on a majoity vote. Everyone will have a chance to plead their case and sway votes to their side. Should be fun, but I expect everyone will bow to the decision made by the majoirty when all is said and done.

Nay, i won't influence the vote at all if i can help it. I am sure i will have a favorite after the beta and will vote, but i don't think i want to influence our decision to much. I have a feeling it will be a pretty easy decision tho after beta. Either way it will be a fun debate :)

Another thought is we could asign spies to the other team, but this will be a VERY difficult thing for them to maintain. I mean look at Genaside...altho he was never truly a spy, he still had his evil char which was known by us...his loyalty was with us in the beginning, but in the end was swayed to the other team (admittedly not until after we went to Legends).

I am not so sure someone would be able to pull off the spy thing. And i am not sure it would be much fun (u would not be spending much time with us).
