View Full Version : DB to be a FOH type guild with a PvP twist in WoW

Just so everyone knows our goals for WoW, we plan to make every effort at dominating the game PvE wise so as to have the best gear and highest levels which will allow us to dominate PvP.

If there is a pure PvP server, we will be on it. We will still be very much oriented for PvP, but expect us to focus VERY heavily on getting geared and gaining levels. If you clown around and do not keep up with us u will become more of a liabilty then an asset. This means everyone after learning the game in beta should have a good idea of what they want to do and how to do it in an effective manner.

After the beta and we learn what kind of PvP there will be, we will figure out our approach in more detail. But one thing I am certain of is we will not fight with substandard gear in WoW.

I would like to beable to stay with you all in lvls, but some of us play more than others...Tazze has to work during the day. I'm sure he would make an effert to stay close to our lvls but I don't know if he will keep us without being power lvled or something...depending upon how much we all play.

Dont worry Elizabethy you guys play plenty enough to keep up. Dont forget all of us have jobs and we dont expect to be on for 24/7 all the time. But if you guys can box each other that would make things easier.. When two people play with each other its smart to make two classes that coincide with each other. Playing a war/cleric or something will make it easy to lvl. DB will be uber!

Liz, I am a pretty slow leveling person. The only folks who don;t keep up with me...will be very slow indeed :p Don't forget, I have work, admin ont he site (and in WoW this will be very time consuming) and even school (i have to do Lisa's homework hehe). Truly it will not be a problem for DBers who are casual, but determined in their goals.

The ones who will likely not be there will be the ones who don't start with us and or spend all of their time doin' other stuff not related to advancing their character.

By the time WoW comes out ill have 2 puters :D so it will be really easy to box, and with me being in a fucked up time zone it wont be a problem to lvl some of you guys.

that is if people are willing to share their logins/pws
I myself have no problem with that as i trust most people in here ~

Yeah...
I can only play on weekends. Luckily, my social life shifts in and out along with the newest MMORPGs so it shouldn't be a problem. Senior spring soon too, so I might go home every now and then in the evenings and play ALL NIGHT LONG. College too next year....theres free time in college...right? =P

No, there isnt.

Well at least if you wanna actually get good grades, ana good job etc etc on down the road. I partied a bit in college and paid for it dearly, took forever to finally get my shit together enough to get a real job :P while thepeople that did their shit and got the grades got pimp jobs basically as they got handed their diplomas... if not sooner.

I HIGHLY reccomend focusing 100% on your schoolwork til you get yer shit done. Youll still haev free time after youve done all your shit tho so dont worry. Its 10X easier to do the shit first then gettin down rather then fucking around first then trying to desperatly get yer shit done in time.

Takes just about the same ammount of time doing it either way also, took some classes just last year and I did my shit the night it got assigned, didnt take long at all as long as I kept on top of it, and I still had time to work fulltime pluz still have plenty of free time. Oh and averaged about a 99.7% in my classes too :)

Well i put it this way if i dont work or go to school to get a job to work how am i gonna pay for PS and WoW subscriptions not to mention the monster computers i build for these games....

So there you have it Real Life > Video Games....
Gotta have that balance... Plus if you do nothing but play video games they just get boring anyway.

If it was in beta we wouldn't be posting =) Must play WOW! *twitches* I got my new system up and running today, tested it for the first time today on planetside running at 170 fps 100 at the lowest on 1024x 768 everything turned up! I dont even see a load screen. This thing flashed "plays hard with" p4 HT then Bam im in combat. The only problem is my comp sounds like a damn vacum cleaner! Oh wait thats Exodus and the new gas powered Dildo he bought to make porn videos with our new 30 porn star xxx chicks......

Gotta say I think for WOW there should be some rule about playing someone else's character unless it's needed. I find it so hard to talk to anyone in TOW cause I never know who the hell I am talking to. It's really frustrating to make friends when the person on a character changes daily. I also don't want to have to keep a shitlist with names of my own guildmates on it :P (I actually have a list...taped to my wall...that says shitlist)

I agree with hama on this. I played daoc reguarly since it came out untill a few months ago. Mythic decided it would be a good idea to let people run two copies of DAOC on one computer and the game turned into a bot/box retard fest. I can't stand joining a group with 6 characters, but only 3 people running those characters. After 3 months of the multiple copies running at one time I'd say 70% of the people had two accounts just to bot themselfs or sit in groups to get exp. Its rediculous even playing now where the game is almost built so you need two accounts, I'm almost positive it was mythics plan to make some characters so boring to play, but needed so everyone would go making 2nd accounts to make more monney yayayayay!!!

I'm not to worried about it being a problem in WoW though. My confidence in Blizzard to make good games is dangerously high and I'd pretty much buy any blizzard game that comes out for the pc :p . They have also said that they plan to keep every character interesting and active almost all of the time, which makes it sound like it would be cumbersome to try and play two at once. We'll see but I hope they make it difficult, it makes it harder for you punks with two computers but damnit, everyone playing two characters is not what MMORPGS are supposed to be :)

I don't mind people who regularly have another character of their own boxed (and they are skilled at it), but its when people give their info to 10 people...nobody can ever be held accountable for anything anymore.

Ekimus
10-02-2003, 06:28 PM
maybe on a smaller scale, but when its 2 out of every 3 people botting somethings wrong with the game ;)

Ekimus is obviously sad he never had the skills to duel box!

Lisa and I will likely have a bot (bella type char). Brian is gonna bot a char too. It depends on if stuff like priests are rare (like clerics).

Vallidus
10-03-2003, 09:33 AM
I'm sure as hell not playin one :P

Hamadryad
10-03-2003, 01:17 PM
yeah, again, nothing wrong with bots, it's account sharing that is the problem :p
