Read this today...

Oct 29, 2003, GamersWorld; In an ongoing effort to enhance and expand its gaming marketshare, Sony Online Entertainment announces its acquisition of the rights to the Warcraft series; including the highly touted forthcoming World of Warcraft.

Sonys president, John Smedley stated that "The purchase of the Warcraft series is a very strategic move for SOE and to bolster the project, Sony plans to immediately begin moving over some key developers and development processes from the Planetside team to the project".

Based on the new ownership, it is expected that WoW will now ship three months earlier then orignally planned, regardless if its ready or not.

you guys are idiots - bag on sony's online development team, not sony as an entire corporation and their product line. Playstation2 is an incredible gaming system and most all of their games are very good. Sony TVs are top of the line, same with DVD players, vibrators, penis pumps, etc.

I must admit, I was almost fooled until I read the part about moving "key developers and development processes from the Planetside team". Heh, I realized it had to be a joke because SOE already terminated all of its developers for Planetside.

Don't forget the expansion packs, I mean sequels. They will be released only 80% finished and cost as much to go see as a whole movie.
