i got info from a stratics.com employee about this game looking to accept large online gaming guilds (such as DB) into beta. read the FAQ, it's pretty sweet. the guy from stratics that i've been talking to has done interviews with the devs at RoT (realms of torment) and they are gearing their gameplay towards UO after admitting UO was the best online game ever made.

Will there be player vs player type combat in the game?

"Yes, player vs player combat will be an option. When we say "optional" we mean the option of engaging in player vs player combat will always be available. The core of the game world is based on player vs player strife. If you choose to simply go questing than that type of lifestyle will also be viable. "

*However, there will not be "safe zones" from PvP type situations*.

But then...

Does the person who kills you get to loot anything from you?

"At this point the items you are wearing will NOT drop as loot. It is possible for your killer (or other players) to loot one or more items from your inventory. "

Which is slightly disappointing but atleast its pointing in the right direction.

It sounds kinda like a Shadowbane/Everquest mixture and since its still in Beta its more appealing (as things can be adjusted).
