Why WOW and not Horizons? Has anyone looked into Horizons?

My old Guildie Norgoth from my Wrath of Honour Days is involved in the production of the game and he had been talking about it as far back as Kunark... It looks like its about to release and I think it looks Bad ass...YOU CAN BE A DRAGON!!!!!!

the only thing i heard was good in the game was the tradeskill or crafting sytem i forget what i read but everything else basically sucks.

Well basically my decisioln making went like this:

1. What game is likely to unify the most DBers?
2. What game is least likely to lose DBers to other games?
3. Which game is least likely to find DBers split up?

If I chose Horizons...how many DBers would be playing WoW and EQ2 anyhow and NOT playing Horizons? Alot. Fact is, Horizons does not have the power to unify us all under that game. We would have tons of guys playing other games epsecially when those games come out. I believe WoW has the ability to keep our interest even when other games like EQ2 come out minizing our turnover.

It's not about how good i think Horizons will be or not be. It's just about what I think we have the best chance of succeeding at as a guild together.

I played Horizons beta a while. The game looks absolutly stunning (the enviroment not the chars) but Horizons isn't worth it because:

1. Severe lag when more then 10 chars are on the same screen. Not talking about system performance but client <---> server performance.
2. PvE wise it is by far the most boring mmporg I have ever played.
3. It is full of carebears. Though that can be seen as a pro if not for the fourth point.
4. NO PVP and even if they are making a pvp version it will most likely be based on the paper, rock and scissors concept that PvE uses which blows imo.
