I was thinking about this some and have come to the conclusion that we need to rush folks in these games. Everytime we try to creep they hit one of our towns with 4 of their heros...then once we come to defend, they withdraw and hit another town with their 4 heros/troops and rinse/repeat.

I think we need to be more agressive and forget creeping. Just go after them....like Saradin does. Make sure not to die tho when rushing them.

Ive got alot of experiance with 3vs3 and i can tell ya right now that your team knows how to rush, they will win... on the other hand ive had games where we rushed and got our asses kicked hardcore. The reason we got smashed on the rush (if it isnt because of slow teammembers) is because some races have better D against rush. A smart UD is nearly impossible to beat with rush as well as Orcs (though all you need to do is destroy there huts it can be a real pain if they have 2 grunts + farseer). If you can scout a NE or Human right off the bat just go for it, NE have no D vs rush (unless he is lucky enough to have 2 towers made before you get there) and Humans are a breeze (peasents cant run anywhere to hide so they have to attack).

As for saying that creeps is worthless i will agree that its not worth it to kill creeps in 4vs4 since your hero will get loads of exp from regular fights but in 3vs3 having a lvl 2-3 hero before you hit someones base makes a huge difference (especially if his allies are teching).

Well, after review, i am thinking our rush needs to be coordinated. We need to meet in the middle then move as a unit together to one of their towns. If it gets harry, we move off, regroup somewhere, then hit another town all the while teching up and gettign troops. This seems to be how the folks who beat us do it. They all attack together....make the other team port in or run all the way there...mean while one of their towns is semi fucked....then we run off and repeat. The entire time they are on defensive so none of our towns are getting fucked.

As long as we don;t lose heros or troops this should work really good.

It just seems that everytime we sit back and wait for their attack we lose cause we are not fighting them as a unit in that situation. It takes time for us all to get together to defend and by then they have done the damage tot he town.

Placing 13th in 3v3 arranged team, then coming back with another set of names and going 44-0 just because we could, my partners and I had plenty of 3v3 games below our belts. Creep/counter rarely if ever works in 3v3. The best way to win is tri-hero rush while defending against their hero rush(if they are smart) or knowing what tricks to use on any given map. Outside of that it's rarely a good idea for a team member to quick tech and always a bad idea for two members to quick tech.

The last tournament we played in we went 7-0 to make the finals beating many of the best players in the game. We were Orc/UD/Hum. Starting heros were DK/TC/AM and starting units were grunts, fiends and rifles(sometimes a few foot to start off). If your hero rush buys enough time to get those units rolling you have the 'healthiest' ranged units and the strongest melee to follow up with.

Hope some of that helps, I would go into more detail but I'm dead tired.

Would just like to point out that due to my extreme fatigue, I forgot that my signature will, in fact, sign for me.
