It’s that time of the month again. And no, im not talking about your girlfriends ”strawberry week”. SOE is getting ready to release expansion number 143 in the timeless, exciting, assr0xx0roing Everquest series!. Oh my! Forget the numerous and game numbing hacks where people have GM like powers, it's time ofr yet another EXPANSION! Yippee!
Yes it’s true, once again we will be treated to another godlike buffet of gaming courtesy of SOE! It’s time for us to be reminded just how well SOE treats us and feel guilty for not paying more than 10 dollars (or 40 if your gay) for such superior service and products. We are truely not worthy of this gamingfest that SOE presents us. Actually, if SOE keeps making these monthly expansion packs (only 59.99!), I may just give them my first born in pure gratitude.
Lets take a look at what the bright golden SOE future holds! We can all look forward to exploring the new even loster dungeons on the 3rd moon of norraths second island off Kunarks/Vellius borders. They are getting ready to present yet another revolutionary series of zones, consisting of grass, some trees, and yes, there might be some monsters and vendors as well*. Some say that concepts like that may change gaming as we know it forever (note some). Also, as a special add on to LdoN (Lost Dumbasses On Networkgames), we will be upgrading the private dungeons!. Before you only had the choice to go on a private raid in an area totally empty of other dumbasses. After the upgrade, however, the separation from other players will be complete, as SOE offers a special plan where trained ninjas will kill other players in real life if they attempt to send you a tell while in the private dungeons! This service is of course only available on Legends (the server where you pay 40 dollars for the service you should have had for 10!) Holy cow Batman!
Remember last time you bought an expansion? Sony made sure you got to upgrade all your +44 to every stat armor pieces to +45. Well this time around, and I hope im not breaking any NDA or revealing details about the game that will force SOE to sue me, you will be able to upgrade that 45+ all stats to a staggering 46+. No more running around with 600 Str/dex/int/wis/agi/sta, because after only 3 or 4 months of hardcore farming with your uberguild, you will be ”g0d” with your 602 str/dex/int/wis/agi/sta. Nerds around the world will adore you, and you will get popular among the women IRL**. The new equipment/lvl treadmill has of course been tested on hamsters, and SOE promises that all the hamsters were very satisfied***.
But did you think equipment and new zones was all? Oh no! How bout' the chance of lvling to 67? OMG! OMG! OMG! Lvl 66 and 67 will give you a new range of old spells giving a bit more damage, and with extra green sparkles when you cast them. This game will have so much content your head may explode****.

DISCLAIMER by Grayrage: This was a flame post directed at SOE not fixing the cheats and bugs already present in EQ! Instead they continue to spend resources on expansions instead of fixing what's already there!~ None of us has any real problem with the expansions and most have bought them, but DAMMIT, fix the existing issues in the game! IMHO expansions should only come out when the current game is damn near perfect! People using GM power hacks is NOT PERFECT! Hill bugging is NOT PERFECT! Faction exploits are NOT PERFECT! Water bugging is NOT PERFECT! Zone plugging is NOT PERFECT!! For the love of god, how can they not understand our ardure at seeing all of these expansions rolling out with the basic game being flawed.
