Didn't see the video, but I think girls can play video games just as well as guys can. Alot of people can't stand video games though, and I would guess that a large portion of those people would be girls. People don't like what they aren't used to -- And if a girl is never given a video game when she is younger, she would be less likely to be interested later on I think.

They definently have the capability to be as good as males. The only thing females are inferior to males in is things that require physical labor/skills. Females are ussually not the gameing type and when they are they ussually are to "nice" to pk very often and therefore are not as good at it. But I voted yes because a female can click a few buttons just as good as a male could.

Thats a tough question and I decided not to vote because its true some of the time, and its false some of the time. People are skilled at different things, regardless of age, race, or SEX. Some of the best EQ players "Non-PVP" Ive played with were female. The reason I say "Non-PVP" is because I havent encounterd as many females that play pvp. Probably due to the fact that women sympathize more for someone thats on the receiving end of computer screen. How many women do you know that would camp a corpse for hours on end? I dont have the hard facts, but Im sure my theory is true.

I'll agree with the sympathizing thing...My first pvp kills when I was in Darkenbane on Rallos made me feel really bad. But soon enough I started to enjoy making people suffer! :D

I actually still never try to grief someone in game unless I feel they deserve it. On SZ I had no problem corpse camping evils and exping them because they chose team EZ and had a HUGE advantage in my mind.

If I kill someone and they respectfully ask (aka grovel) for their corpse, I'll let them have it now.

If they don't I will just keep killing them :P

Can a typical female surpass a typical male's ability in PvP? Yes... It is within the realm of possibility.

I mainly play solo but the few regular partners I've had over the years have almost all been female. It takes A LOT more work to get them up to par though -- There's an entire mindset to overcome and females are amazingly fucking stubborn.

Understand that I do not mean the whole "chicks are too nice" argument exclusively because if you can tap into the "woman scorned" part of their personalities, by God, what is there could make a grown man cry.

I didn't vote on this either cuz I really don't have alot of experience with the subject. The only girl I ever PKed with that I remember was Hama and she did well, I cant remember us ever dyin or me blowin a LOH on her either. I remember this druid that always used to try to PK me, Hieedi or something, she told me she was a girl irl but I dunno for sure, she never did well vs me, but she never gave up either. Thats about my only experience with that. Two very different ends of the spectrum I guess.

PS is prolly the slowest of the first person shooters(due to it being MM) Anyways one of you ladies should fightme on sof2 or something. from my experience men are better at RTS and FPS games...such as starcraft warcraft or counter strike. due to the biological fact that men tend to use the problem solving / mathematical part of their brain as opposed to women who are better at the more liberal 'artsy' part. I think girls do just fine at EQ type games, where its not as fast paced or dont require as much evolved strategy

I fought a few rangers in my time, I usually owned them, but there was one time where I fought a ranger in Burning Woods, I didn't have the mana to actually fight, I was quad kiting. I just wanted to put some distance between me and her, and gate.

Bad idea.

She plucked and critical'd me while I tried running away, keeping up with me. I mean just ROCKED my world, I ended up just getting in melee range so her arrows would stop owning me, but by then it was too late.

Hehe good thing I was bound about 100 feet from where I hunt, I was able to come back and snatch my corpse before she could decide which ub4r piece of mine to take.

Rangers usually stood no chance against me, but that one did. There are 2 fights in which I'm ashamed, one is that one, and another is when a bard found me in Timorous Deep with not even enough mana to gate away. I had to just sit there and take his slow ownage, while I was completely helpless to do anything about it.

hahah oh I also had a fight with DB in Overthere in which I got dropped, I found out I had regen in my healing slot. The screen shot is here actually hehe it's funny during the fight you can see "Rahne begins to regenerate" "Rahne begings to regenerate" and I was thinking "FUCK these heals are taking forever, what is GOING ON!@?!" Sorry...off on a tangent.

Well, in all fairness I was a spellset below him (Shock of poison or whatever that nuke was, and Venom of Snake) and poorly geared :P I always did suck at playing a necromancer though, because I wasn't used to it. It would have been a much closer fight on my ranger, I didn't really care to become good on Kattalia :P

I didn't read the entire post, mostly because I am lazy, but I am going to throw in a history lesson.

I have a twin sister, I remember both of us playing on the original Nintendo system. As I remember it, she completed more of that game than I ever did. She was good at it, of course this was from an age of 5-7 yo. The point being, we were both given video games, and given equal time, she was better hands down. However, I retained interest in video games where she did not. Reasons why are unknown to me. But from a psychological lvl in child development, I think it shoots a hole in the original arguement of girls having interest if given a video game and not a barby doll.

Now, from a psychological level, their are theories of things such as spacial ability that vary between men and women, but everything is hypothetical at best.
