halflife/counterstrike?

ya ya... i know probly sound like a idiot, but never play'd counterstrike before heh, was looking to get it to pass the time, but not shure witch 1 to get. theres the original halflife and halflife-counterstrike. i'm told that i can downlaod conterstrike if i just get the original 1 but cant play other games you can dl if i get the halflife-counterstrike 1, any 1 know witch is witch?

all u need to do is get the original halflife, patch that up and then u can download any mod u want including counterstrike

IMO halflife asnt exactly designed for online use, the game itself was pretty damn amazing regardless, you can go to the valve website and download "Steam" steam then allows you to donload CS, HL and all mods of HL for free
