Hey, I heard about Planetside back when it was back in beta and I was, at first, really interested. However, all I hear are really bad things. Just recently I saw the videos that were posted showing, I think it was Exodus in action, and those really got me tempted to try it out. I heard that the game costs money to play.. if so, how much for, say.. a half year or year? And my friends can't be the only people who think the game is bad... does anyone else think the game was a huge dissappointment? If I could get several different responses on this post, it would be greatly appreciated. You can also reach me on AIM at: CrazinessReborn@aol.com
Thanks.

Honest opinion:

I have been playing this game off and on since July.

The first two months that I played this game, I couldn't get enough of it. I loved it.

The ONLY thing that has kept me in this game since those first couple of months is the COMMUNITY, the people I play with. If DB wasn't there, I would likely not play at all.

There is a free 7-day (and I think even 30-day) trial, try it and make your own conclusions.

This game is quite fun if you have a good connection and computer. If not its not it pretty much blows due to constant lag.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the NVSniper videos that Exodus posted.

I really think it's the mutlitude of things that you can do at any givin time that keep this game fresh for me. Don't want to zerg w/ the rest of the grunts? Go kill a backwoods gen and hold it, fly to rescure a base that no one else will do....OMGWTF, go to the caves!!

I won't be leaving this game for a long time, I hate games like UT and that bunny hopping moving 100x faster than real life twitch bullshit, it annoys me. I've always been the type into tactical fps, like the Rainbow Six line, where I was always in teams like this one that were coordinated and worked well together. This is like that but on a larger scale and that's what draws me to it.

I hate the super twitch style games, and love when tactics can win vs. just running and gunning. That's just my opinion of games like this, and for me, I will be playing this game for a very long time to come.

Same for me. UT gets old after an hour. Anyhow, PS was my first FPS.
