I don't know how I feel about this...
It's awesome that Fiedler will most prolly be out on the street now, but is Feeley really the right answer?!? I like AJ and all but he is still unproven IMO~

Edit: HA! "Feeley really" I'm so poetic~

Feeley has terrible stats, and it seriously amazes me that Spielman pulled such a risky move. He seriously rolled the dice here.....
Good news is that if Feeley turns out good, the fans win. If he turns out to be the new Fiedler, Spielman gets the sack and the fans win =).

I seriously don't know why the fins wouldn't just draft Phillip Rivers. He'd be a no-brainer at the 20th pick for a team looking for a QB.

This... coming from a person who's hated the fins his entire life ;)

Go Bills~

Rivers has been impressive for a while now, im not even sure he will be there once it's our turn =(.

I was hoping for Rivers or Patrick Ramsey.....(or get Henson ready to start in a year or 2)

Anyone got a bio on this guy...college and stuff?

Lemme give you some stuff:

He started out well in college untill he was injured, since then hes been the 3rd string in Philly (yes, BEHIND Koy Detmer). A lot of people say that's because of Detmers ability as a kick holder, but the fact is that Philly have the money and people to find someone better if that was an issue. All in all, hes had 15 starts in college and the NFL combined. He's played 5 games as a starter for Philly, and he won 4 (against losing teams) and lost 1 (the only winning team he played). He also threw 5 interceptions in 5 games behind an Andy Reid O-line, and he has less mobility than a rock.

What college? Why did they go for him? For that much money too?

Hes from Oregon, 5th round draft pick.

They selected him after reviewing him by "the spielman system", which is and im not kidding, watching tapes of him and comparing him to people like Delhomme and other sinderella stories.

The Dolphins are giving Feeley $3.6 million per year and giving Philly a second-round draft pick

That sounds so much like Rob Johnson.

Look at it this way, we are giving Philly a 2nd round draft pick, while Brunell got traded for a 3rd round..........

AJ Feeley is ok. He didn't light it up in the 5 games he played but he did enough to win 4. He was the starter for Oregon until he got hurt and while he was hurt he lost his job to that other QB who went in the first round. Mcnown? Maybe? Anyway that guy hasn't done shit where ever he is at. Give Feeley a chance I say. He knew he would never start in Philly but most QBs learn a ton by sitting on the side and watching the starter play and I feel he has. There was a portion of Eagles fans that want him to stay and be the starter here.

Ramsey stinks. I cried the day the Skins let him go. But I got happy again when the Skins sign Brunell. Yay for journeymen QBs.

Also I pray that the Cowboys keep Carter as their starter. That guy STINKS!.

This talk about football reminds me of something.

YOU OWE ME MONEY GRAYRAGE!!!!!!!

Feeley has had a less than stellar past at the QB position, call me crazy but I really do have some high hopes for this kid. He's a Dan Marino like QB, just mobile enough to not get sacked and very smart w/ a strong arm. Who knows, when it comes to QBs in the NFL your college carrer and stats are a non-factor, I guess we will have to just wait and see. One thing he's got going for him already: He's NOT Jay Fiedler~ :p

Also, I was really afraid that we were gonna wind up with Brunell or Ramsey so I'm happy were getting Feeley and not them chumps, but I would have rather seen them go after Warner or Garcia or Henson hardcore, but oh well its still an improvement over Fiedler and Griese who will prolly be cut anyway

AJ is a serious pick-up for the Dolphins. He has a great arm and can throw every route. He has good size and he is *extremely* strong mentally. Meaning he is not going to get rattled by any situation that comes up, plus he is the farthest thing from arrogant.

When he had to start for us after McNabb and Koy got hurt he did a great job and I believe he went 4 and 1 in his first 5 starts in the NFL. He became quite the celebrity around town and handled it really well.

You will be much better off than with Giganta-head Fiedler starting. Funny thing is when you look at Fiedler's record with the Dolphins you would think he was a stud. In any case AJ is the real deal.
