In light of our decision to go EQ2 instead of WoW, I'd like to hand in my resignation (or whatever you might call it).

I'm sorry, but from the very first, before I joined Darkenbane, I was looking for Warcraft guilds. I joined Darkenbane to be part of the Warcraft guild, not the guild in general. You have an awesome thing going here, and thanks so much for letting me in at one point, but I can't be a part of it any longer.

From your standpoint and the guild's, I too believe that it is in the guild's best interest to go for EQ2. Good luck to you in your battles; I'll continue to check out the general forums to see how you're doing

Thanks again,

Driedel is a promising young recruit from the great white North, but we are quite sure his innocence will be squashed within the first couple of months of WoW retail as i turned away his "resignation" :D

The truth of the matter is SOE has usually had very little relationship with us even though we have supported many of their games in the past. Contrarily, Blizzard has replied to our emails and posts and we DO have representation in the beta for our PvP concerns. As we speak, Maule is testing many aspects of the game and Saradin has probably elicited the most promising post to date from Blizzard regarding PvP (click here (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?FN=wow-general&T=3720&P=1&ReplyCount=37#post3720) to read the thread) as follows:

PvP balancing wont start in ernest until we get PvP Battlegrounds into the game or start up a beta PvP server. Likely you will not see this until sometime after April.

We are still very excited about WoW and pleased with Blizzard's handling of the community to date. We have offered our services to help balance PvP when the time comes to tackle this issue in the beta process and whether they accept our offer or not, we expect to have folks there giving input to help make WoW a kick ass game that will keep us occupied for many years to come!

Now just because many of us plan to play WoW does not mean we will not have guys playing such things as EQ2, Guildwars, Dragon Empires and Lineage II. If enough DBers gather to play one of these titles, we will organize and support those players as well!

He means GuildWars as being another online MMORPG that is coming out, not those gay fuckers that run eqemu guildwars
