The past few weeks, Prophets and Seraphim have been fighting for the Guildwars server. There has been lots of good fighting, pie, trash talking and whatever follows good old pvp. Sadly, the feud has ended, not because of one side winning the battles (actually the side still standing has been taking a pretty severe pounding the last 2 weeks), but because a spoiled 12 year old child, Devn00b, happens to be a GM.
Over the past 2 days, most of the members in Prophets have been banned for protesting the corrupt GM, and most others have left in disgust of the way the server is being run.

Since most of us know some shady shit was going on, we began documenting the abuse, and the following will show you what actions made the population of a good server steadily drop to the point where it is embaressing.

Day 1:
(Newbie explanation inc). When you take cities, you have the option to place guards to protect your conquest. Now, there is a different price range on guards depending on what you want, and Prophets fortified Neriak as well as possible. A full set of guards like the ones we had, takes a large force of people, and a few hours of farming.
Usually, you have 1 cleric training the guards, a group tagging one of the guards and killing it. Then have the 2nd cleric pull the guards after number 1 dies, the group tags again and kills the guard, just keep repeating. This takes quite awhile and it’s pretty much impossible to fight them all at the same time.
Well what happens is 6 Seraphim zone into Neriak, and a wizard, yes a wizard, begins to tank our ENTIRE set of guards. The few people defending attacked the wizard but got the ”you cannot hit because he is invulnerable” message. Later, it turns out it was Devn00b playing a GM char.
Not only did he interfere with gameplay, show GM favoritism of the worst kind, he wasted the time we spent farming cash for the guard, the time we used to take the city, but he also had the nerve to lie about it afterwards, saying he didn’t play the wizard, and everything was ”legit”.
Here are the screenshots.....notice the warrizard with the tankage ability:

Day 2:
After the Neriak incident a Prophets member deleted his char and another quit in protest. The rest of the guild began posting the screenshots we took on the boards. The thread and screenshots were repeatedly deleted, and the 4th time the post was made, it was allowed to stay for one hour. Then the thread was locked and the pics were deleted. Also, Devn00b gave us 3 guards as compensation, still saying nothing illegal happened..

The accused GM says nothings wrong, but he:
1. Repeatedly deleted treads with solid evidence SOMETHING was wrong (it’s not clear on the pictures that he is playing the char, but we have several screenshots of his guildmembers admitting it, but they won’t be posted to protect their accounts).
2. Reimbursed us with 3 guards. Why is it you would reimburse someone if nothing is wrong?

Frustrated that we can’t make our points on the board, the discussion moved ingame. We all suspected Dev of acting like a spoiled brat, but his reaction was so retarded it caught everyone off guard. He joined Prophets on his GM char, removed all members from the guild, handed all our cities to Seraphim and filled the guild with Seraphim alt chars. He then started banning our members, which were later lifted, because he probably realized he acted retarded.
More members left in protest, and the remaining Prophets members reformed under a new tag.

The same day, Devn00b joined Seraphim with his ranger equipped with GM gear. Seraphim then headed to Sol B to kill Naggy. What happened there i’ll leave up to one of the Seraphim members attending the raid (this is copied from the GW msgboards, if the post hasn’t been deleted yet):

” was a member of Seraphim for a few hours yesterday. In that time we killed Nagafen. Some interesting things happened on that raid. We had Manrider tank for us, who had 2800 hp unbuffed with his GM gear. He was critiing with his bow for 400. We failed Naggy the first time, and he offered to #summon us back. We all ran back but Victoria got a #summon. The second Naggy attempt Manrider popped a "Can of Whoop Ass" potion which added something like 900 to all his stats. Nonaag informed me that "This GM bullshit has been going on for a few days." To his credit he was tired of it, and agreed with me that it was bullshit and unfair.

I have seen the Ranger epics, Favio was able to link them for us in guildchat. One of them has Vengeance VII on it, the other has some type of bard effect. Gaining an epic will be hard to do. It will be a combination of pkp and questing. There will be a hard mob encounter to finish all epics. Seraphim has SoS Hero's in Neriak and Halas. When I was in Prophets I placed 4 heros and did not get one SoS. I even heard that SoS heros had been nerfed off the server, but we all know that Seraphim can't fight without full shaman buffs and haste.

From here I doubt I'll play much on this server, and I would advise most people to abandon it. Three hours in Seraphim confirmed what I had suspected since the day I joined GW. The majority of them are retards who can't get ahead without cheating. “

Day 3:
GW doesn’t have many rules. The official ruleset says that ninjalooting is fine, and it’s always been done. Last week, Prophets killed Gunther, and a member of Seraphim ninjalooted. Today, we thought we would return the favor, and we attended the raid and did indeed ninja loot Gunter, like it had been done to us a week before.
Suddenly Devn00b (He joined Seraphim yesterday remember? He happened to be maintanking Gunther) says Daefuin is getting banned for ninjalooting. Obviously, we are all shocked because it’s clearly stated in the ruleset that it’s legal. It was done to us a few days earlier. Well, it seems that a few days back, the rule was changed, it was broadcasted ONCE and the ruleset wasn’t updated. Basically, no one except the GM that made the broadcast knew, or had a chance to know the rules were changed.
Naturally, most of us, tired of several days of GM side cheating, began arguing with Devn00b. It ends with a few of us getting banned (myself included).

The gayness of his behavior goes beyond description, and it can only boggle the mind that a person like him enforces the rules. How can someone blatantly cheat with one hand and then ban people for cheating with the other? I think the lesson here is never let a boy do a mans job, because obviously a boy was left in charge of policing a server, which meant a responsibility he was not smart nor mature enough to manage. This server should stand as a horror example of how a server should not be managed.

Everyone really had fun on the server, and quite frankly, it’s sad that it has to end like this, but we were given no choice. GW is slowly losing it’s playerbase, and my newspost stands as a clear piece of evidence why. I can't imagine why ANYONE would set their feet on GW anymore.

I wish Image and Arrusol the best of luck on their new project, and Devn00b an STD.

See you on the LV server.

No offense to you guys, but this all went down before, and big shocker, Devnoob is a cocksucking little child with delusions of grandeur. We tried to warn you before and you apparently didn't beleive us. :)

we all kinda knew it was coming=/

to be honest, it was worth it. I personally got about a month of solid and very fun PvP outta GW, and all with the low low pricetag of having to deal with devn00b;p. Its too bad GW is really no longer an option, but I'll fondly remember the time wasted there;p

isnt this the same thing that happened before? you cant expect there to be fairness with someone who is playing god for their own enjoyment.

Well i'm not sure I agree. GW 1 was a stupid, and none of us respected the rules (jesus, 2 hours after I made my ogre shammie, he was lvl 30, with 50mill in the bank, mend, harmtouch and track were usable, how can you respect something that broken?) and got banned. I'm not in any way going to object to getting banned from GW 1, infact I expected it and didn't really give a fuck because the server was too broken to play.

When we started playing GW 2,5 everything was running smoothly, and stuff was under controle. The concept was really carried out neatly, and they actually gave a shit about what was going on. Sadly, Image moved on to try other projects, which pretty much means that about 2 weeks ago, the server was left in the hands of nazi Devn00b, who was allowed to do whatever he wanted. This is what fucked the server up. Had the commitment by all parts stayed intact, I don't think any of this would ever have happened.

On GW2, I personally felt you guys were in the wrong and Image was in the right. But this time around, it was absolutely bullshit. Prophets had done nothing wrong except fighting Seraphim, sad to see you guys go, was fun fighting against and with you guys. Looking forward to fighting you guys in the next MMPORG, cheers.

Not to be a troll, but how long until we see one of these posts about the LV Emu? ;p Player run servers will cause either favortism or at least the accusations which is prolly just as bad ;p

In any case, it's cool Image turned it around and made it fun for a while. Seems like a pretty talented guy.

We'll have to wait and see I guess. It's always possible, but everyone's got good credit with me until they fuck up. Then I never let em forget it. ;)

Yea Image is a really good guy, and I hope he picks another project (without Devn00b).

I think it's impossible to avoid GM favors on a player run server, but I do believe there are different degrees of it. Let's hope the LV server has less than GW .p

you guys laud Image with alot of respect. I honestly think the good guy "image" (pun intended) is just to bullshit people. I honestly think he's a closet Devnoob, and Devnoob just plays badcop to his good cop.

We had it comming first round. The server was so fucked up no one could take it seriously, and I don't have a problem with my account getting suspended on GW1.
