In the beta, I occasionally see an opposing faction player cruising around and I am ITCHING to jump them.
Now I know there are 100's of you PvPers that read this site DAILY. Not all are DB and not all agree with us, but MOST enjoy PvP and agree WoW should give us a PvP server(s). It's time to dig your old War2, Diablo and War3 CD keys out and post your freagin support of a PvP server in World of Warcraft before the goddamn BLUEBS FORCE US TO PLAY THEIR GIMP FAGGOTY way of kissy love love hand holding bullshit.
I have made a new post regarding this very quote and issue on the Bliz forums and undoubtedly will need your support to keep it in front of the devs so they KNOW there ARE people out there who want to play this way. You guys are reading that quote backwards I think. There will be a factional PvP server in the beta, soon, most likely next push. We've posted that before, and it hasn't changed. What he was talking about was a free for all PvP server where everyone kills everyone. I don't know when we'll do that. The factional PvP server is what we're all really excited about.
Obviously, we are all breathing a sigh of relief. Thanx Sar, for askin' them and thanx Ogre for the fast reply!
SECOND UPDATE:
Ogre added yet more information which should silence all the people yelling at me that there was not going to be a PvP server. This is actually some big stuff he is saying. We are SET. Here is the quote:

Let me clarify:
Faction based PvP means you can attack anyone of the opposite faction any time, anywhere. The second beta server will follow these rules. We expect to have that server up during the next push.
"Normal" servers will have instanced PvP zones. There may be a few other cases where you can fight other players outside duels, and there are some changes to the faction rules coming, but for the most part they will be like the server you are on now.
Those are the only two server types we are definitely going to have before ship. There may be more depending on demand, but we really haven't even talked about any others yet.
