Everquest, GM's and favortism rearing it's ugly head again?

As folks know, many DBers still play Everquest on Sullon Zek as Neutrals in the Synergy Alliance. Recently there have been events which point to possible GM corruption and collusion. Hamadryad has taken the time to write up an article explaining what happened in detail.

Yesterday the guild "Hate" on Sullon Zek used their Pocket GM (http://www.synergysz.com/posts.asp?topicid=15145) to backflag half the evil team for elemental planes in EQ. Why am I talking about EQ? Yes I realize most of you have quit, but I'm giving SoE the chance to FIRE GM JAMLAMIN not lose even MORE of their huge customer base which visit this website daily. It's that simple.

Not only did the GM(s) involved in this event last night "Freeze" all neutrals that were attempting a pvp and a train solution, they also SPAWNED AGNARR TWICE to ensure THE ENTIRE EVIL TEAM WOULD BE FLAGGED.

I sent this email to sony yesterday:

Hello, I'm just emailing you to let you know what I saw and heard today on Sullon Zek. GM Nikolah on Stormhammer passed this email on to me. Basically the guild "Hate" was trying to backflag in Planes of Power today, and they were in Bastion of Thunder raiding Agnarr with a few other evils. We had neutrals hiding in the tower wings spying on the zone, and outside the zone GM Jamlamin was standing by the BOT stones.

There was another GM inside BOT, and he was freezing neutrals that were trying to use a pvp and a train solution against Hate. Also, he logged in the character "Essen" who was bound at Agnarr when Planes of power first came out, and this GM actually PLAYED her character and changed her bind point. Why he did this, I have no idea. Did he have the right to do this? I don't know, but find it extremely suspicious.

The spy we had hiding in the towers was reporting Hate's movement through the Agnarr event to us in our neutral channel. Every single time Hate "moved" from one area to the next, GM Jamlamin outside BOT stopped moving and talking completely. These leads me to believe he is playing a character IN "Hate", which is very much not allowed of your game masters according to your very own rules.

As you may know, neutral progression in Planes of Power has been completely halted due to trains. I realize evils on Sullon zek make up a majority of the clients you have, but neutrals who have been trained and ninja looted by invulnerable bards (Invulnerable because they pull out their modem cord as they run, thus making them impervious to all spells and melee) are a large group aswell. We are a loyal group of people, many of us have played Everquest for up to 4 years now, which is my case. Can you please look into this for us? Perhaps you could log in now and look at Hate's COD raid, where they have the GM Jamlamin practically raiding with them.

All I have to say after reading this is A) I am glad I am not playing on that shithole server anymore and B) I am freagin' glad there won't be training in WoW (it's almost impossible to train mobs in World of Warcraft). Hope they figure this out, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Agrulx was blatantly /warp hacking with a GM-Dev in the zone. Why are people fucking crying about him getting banned? Jesus. As for Mideon, who wrote that e-mail, he used MQ2 to ninjaloot Quarm from the zone-in, and then posted screenshots of it, WITH MQ2 RUNNING IN HIS SCREENSHOTS. Jamamlinmininianinininn refused to ban him. I tried e-mailing Jamammamamamaamam repeatedly to restore the accounts The One hacked inside Hate, and he refused to help. Several Hate members (Slimy, etc) have quit Everquest because of his refusal to help with account problems. Hate fucking hates that GM, he's nothing but a cock to them.

WHY ARE YOU CRYING ABOUT FAVORITISM WHEN YOUR GUY WAS BLATANTLY HACKING IN FRONT OF A GM. And not just ghosting, etc ... full on /warp hacking around the zone. If people use speed hacks, everyone laughs at them for a couple of days and then they get banned. This is no different, stop crying.

I am no proponant of legalizing or keeping legal plugging, but don't make it illegal just because it's not only the evils doing it. And how do you randomly change the rules like that? 1 day it's legal..the next they are banning someone for it and say "oh and by the way, that's illegal now" At least until Speed does it again....then it's legal again, right?

Ghosting and using MQ2 plugins to /warp are two different things. Ghosting is impossible to ban for, it's just the shittiness of the EQ client. Straight /warp is a 3rd party hack. Come on Gray, even you gotta admit that Agrulx got his hand caught in the cookie jar and got banned, and now Mideon and people are crying about it. A GM comes to SZ once every fucking 6 months and he had to /warp hack right in front of him. What was the GM supposed to do? Not ban him?

edit - reread your reply and you seem to think he was banned for ghosting. He was banned for using a recent MQ2 plugin that allows you to directly /warp to a location in the zone from anywhere, at any time. He was at the zone in and just /warp directly to Karana's room, right in front of the GM, who watched the hack. Pretty much impossible to not get banned doing that, it's like speedhacking with a GM in the zone.

The MQ2 plugin to warp is fairly new, there was never one before. BP got it first and used it heavily against ToW, forcing a compromising deal out of them even. Then ToW got it. Since it's so new, I highly doubt Speedd was using it for the last 2 years. He's been training you all since he was only a wizard in NToV - long before all the 3rd party shit.

He does ghost like a motherfucker, everyone knows that. They also know you can't get banned for it.

Look, I'm not saying Speedd is a great guy, my best friend or anything. Speedd is simply the very best at what he does, and he's a huge weapon to have on your side. When charmburning was legal, people in Hate didn't cry about GM favoritism with Worry and Agrul chain wiping us in Western Wastes and the GM's doing nothing. It's under the rules, and Hate's guy is better at it than yours. I know how much I despised Worry, I'm sure you all hate Speedd even more.

If its true, then he shold have gotten banned. I was not there so it's silly for me to say otherwise. I have, however, born witness to Speedd doing some rather incredble things. If it's all just really awesome modem plugging, well....so be it, but to be honest, modem pluggin is pretty sad way to cheat anyhow whether the retard GMs said it was legal or not.

This arguement could go on forever. To be honest they both should be banned. The modem pluggin all of these clowns do should be declared illegal and is so easy to spot. I mean...if a NORMAL person cannot get to the back of AR, VEx thall or any number of other zones without a huge train....then neither should speed...or any other plugger. It's just ghey and one of the huge flaws in the EQ design.

I'm going to be so upset if they make a MQ for WoW. Anyways Velael we have had several members that use MQ in Tides attest that they have seen Speedd warp lately. He most likely just figured out how to hack this way and since Hate has the lead GM on their side he knows he wont get banned for it. You should honestly go raise some hell with your guild because they arent the same people you used to play with Velael and they ARE playing dirty.

Hi, I believe nuets have had alot more accounts banned threw problems with hate (lol banned for ninja looting fucking loot from a BoT named?) Its kinda funny how evils can manage to get their accounts back (hihi Kirban) <--- was banned for open trackable hacking and actually stayed that way for almost a year, proving it to be 100% uncontestable, so dont even say Damiax/Chadlek (who are goods who almost got banned because evils bitched up a storm, yet couldnt prove anything in the end anyways)

I agree ghosting should be bannable. Charmburning should have been too. Each team has used whatever advantage they could, for as long as SZ has been around.

The core members have stuck together, but none of us play Everquest. I just find it hysterical to listen to people bitch about shit that effects every team. Yeah SZ truly had the chance to be a great server oif Sony just put some effort into it.

From day one they just had their ideas....and when those ideas turned out to be wrong, they treated it like a bad debtor treats a creditor....like they don;t exist.

It all started in beta when everyone cried for them to just make it race based teams instead of the mix they had.....and it just got worse.

The gm was also using /shout command for talk in POk area and trashtalking more .

Gm are always very discret and rarelly reply without to concerned people .

I think agrul had to be banned but it s virtually impossible for the evil team to backflag again those day with neutral team ready to train with master gosther . they just need some more help :o
