IF upon starting your win-amp program your promted with an offer to upgrade to "v.5.02" DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT DO IT!, its horseshit. First your old playlists are not compatible with it (despite the claims made) Which means those of you with HUGE shared folders from back in the day of using napster kazaa ect have to sort thru that shit hole of thousands of files (many improperly named as well as corrupt) and find the good ones for the songs you like which can take a WHILE when you've got like atleast 4 of each song (not neccisarily listed near each other in fact quite the contrary some with file names including their number for the track they are on a cD as well as dashes underscores 0's ect.) and bascially completely rebuild your playlist thats served you well for years without rebuilding. Next the GUI (graphical user interface [for the code]) for it is fuckin IDENTICAL to the old one because of the use of various "skins" oh and btw not all your old ones are supported either. {yeah yeah mabey i contradicted myself but STFU I cant think straight in my enraged state}
Since nexex has introduced me to Soulseek i've been downloading entire Cd's to named files and created a second VERY organized music file so for all the new music this is no problem but the old shit....maaaan wut a pain in the ass, i guess it forces you to organize your Chaotic old shared file's
OR mabey i'm just unorganized and am a unique case but in any event ITS POINTLESS to upgrade unless your interested in wasteing some MORE time sitting in front of ur comp screen
