I know this thread has been made before, But we are closer to launch. and a few of us have pre-ordered.

so the people who pre-ordered post reply here, and the people who intend to buy it at release post here aswell. Alot has happend since the last count.

Why in the hell would you ever even in a million years want to play Everquest when they have made it perfectly clear there will be no PvP. Without PvP everquest is quite possibly the gayest game imaginable. There isn't even a god damn story line.

i'll buy that shit at launch pvp or no pvp to familiarize myself with the world controls ect so i'll be rdy for pvp i dont give a fuck wut anyone sais about WOW and blah blah blah everquest was the best pvp i've played ever, (yes i've done the UO point and click bullshit too) granted they fucked it up 2 expansions later originally it was badass so mabey originally this pvp will be badass? i dont know in any event ITS deff worth the $$ to give it a shot (Plus i'm in night classes and work a midnight stocking job so my hours are shitty for a social life ;p [great excuse huh?])

even if they had pvp at launch id not play it after seeing how they cannibalized the game the first go around, my days of farming shit for hours on end to remain well geared only for it to be obsolete a month later are long gone, as is having pvp completely ruined for the sake of the asslicking bluebs that 98% of the rest of the game are made of.

if they simply made a server in eq1 that was SZ rules pre luclin, velious or kunark era then pvp wouild be fixed.

I don't think anyone could have said it better than the above quote. Darwoth put it best, Sony totally fucked PvP. Period. And I'm pretty sure when they launch a PvP server on EQ2 is will be just as gay as post Kunark type PvP in EQ. I won't pay another fucking cent to Sony or Verant. I swear they are the anti-christ.

I think I am gonna give it a shot. No PvP at launch who cares. We all know sony are money grubbing greedy assbags so they will deffinatly put in a PvP server to squeeze all the money they can out of the game. Even if the PvP sucks I mean DAMN those graphics are beast. I'll be playing even if it is just for the eye candy.

Darwoth, are you aware that Lucid Vision has a server now that is basically what you ask for, except its Rallos rules and not Sullon (i.e. +/- 4 lvls) but w/o ANY of the expansions.

i played OB1 on LV server, they've got something good going if certain dumbasses dont fuck it up, i knew ghecko in RL and if he's payin money and investing time into it, its gonna be good. Me and Nex and Guznuk are all planning on having a little three man group to run around, course nex has to upgrade that old ass Geforce 2mx 400 first

yea vallidus a lot of us played OB1 and it was virtually unplayable.

I give them props for trying but itll really never be what Darwoths looking for, or at least not for a very (very) long time. All the guys involved work for a living and shit and theres enough problems for them to be working fulltime on it for a long long time;p Also EQEMU servers rarely keep anything resembling a strong player base for very long, and honestly even oldworld EQ is pretty reliant on having 400+ ppl on at once to be much fun.

I think i will play eq2 maybe... Especially if you can take one item with you!
However right now i am unable to log on to those forums using my station name, it keeps leading me in bullshit loops (As is the Sony Way!), however the news of flying carpets might also bode badly for pvp, provided someone was just able to get on to their flying carpet and just fly away etc. Someone needs to make sure they understand that they cannot just place the same rules on PVP as they do the other servers, that it would be much better if we had say a seperate development team to work on PVP.

They just better not drag thier asses on getting the PvP server up, and they BETTER let you do character transfers to the server once its up. But yea I will preorder it about a week before release. Whats the date on it right now anyway?

Yeah well if you don't think the palidans are going to be good than you don't know Blizzard. Every single Blizzard game the palidans have owned. Solely because all of their aura's are passive. I'm not sure if they will be in WoW, b/c I haven't been able to play it yet. But if they are passive, then palidans will be a must for all PvP groups. I for one know that the aura's in Diablo were fucking heinous. And I'm almost positive that they will be the same in WoW. And they will realize that Pally's are unbalanced but they will be difficult to nerf. So I'm sure they will come out with a Horde type Pally to counter the Alliance Palidan. Bottom line, Blizzard makes Palidans own. Plain and simple. And the Zons owned with bows on Diablo, that's why I'm investing in a hunter. I'm almost positive they are going to get some great passive abilities with a bow.

Lol so true, I played a pally in D2 also, its just my class I guess heh. Is DB gunna be going horde though in WoW? I thought that was the plan. If so Im gunna roll and orc warrior I think. If its Alliance I gotta go paladin though. We will see, I bet both games are gunna have thier ups and thier downs just like any other.

Oh and just to add.... I would LOVE to play with you again Vallidus =) we had some fun ass times in EQ together. Hell I never had more fun with folks than I did in DB at times heh.

I personally wanna play a Dwarf :P They look great in WoW I think hehe, tho the class i want is Hunter (think i saw dorfs can be hunters) or maybe priest. If we go horde not reaLLY SURE WHAT race to be, prolly Orc as Undead blow vs Pallys it seems.
