Modding Xbox

Hello fellow haxors!

I was just asking for some help when installing a modchip into my xbox.

I've been trying to do it with a friend for a good amount of time now, and it's been hard to figure out.

I'm trying to install the X.B.I.T. chip, the solderless one, and I'm not trying to do any fancy BIOS flashing or what not.


Some problems we've been running into:

not exactly sure if the control pins are lined up.
No clue how to rip and burn xbox games on my PC.
Only test we've been able to do is a burned copy of "Fight Night 2004" downloaded off of mIRC.

I'm running my xbox modded and have for quite some time, however I bought my xbox on launch and the board varies a bit.

If you can link me to wear you bought the chip (So I can have a look at it) I'll try and help you out. I can also link you to the whole program(s) that you need to install stuff on the box as well as watch divx/listen to mp3s etc.

Yeah I've figured it out a bit more.

I got the X.B.I.T. solderless mod. I'm pretty sure I've installed it correctly. I think I've flashed the BIOS and everything, but I have yet to try a game out to see if it actually works.

At the moment, I'm having some trouble with a EvoX boot disk I made. It reboots twice, and then the power LED flashes green and red, which I'm told is a good sign, but no EvoX menu shows up on the TV. I can't remove the CD now and I have no idea what to do. Any help would be appreciated though. Thanks
