Maybe they wont get such a headache reading all the complaint letters about insta-kills, they most likely plan these patches much in advance and are working on getting to the one that gets rid of insta kills anyways.

The only people you guys would be hurting if you all left Sullon and EQ would be your teammates BTW in a few months we will have peeps that will have mana burn and as for Necros having lifeburn, I would rather have Druids that can give my team massive mobility than instakill necros. EQ pvp is on its way out and has been since daoc was released, more and more developers are starting to make games that cater to the pvp crowd.

EQ has and always will be a bluebie moster bashfest, my personal opinion is that the big V introduced this shit on purpose as part of a goal to get pvpers to quit until the numbers are so low they can justify shutting down the servers all together save one or two.

it would not look good for them in the court of public opinion to just suddenly close half or all of the pvp servers, so they leave SIMPLE pvp bugs unfixed for years, and introduce ridiculous bullshit such as 40 sv all resist pieces, instant gates, non pvp zones, manaburn and lifeburn on top of them to make people quit so they can just do away with the servers for good.


the only sensible thing to do is to first come to the realization that if the problems have not been fixed for three years and more are being introduced every time you turn around that its not going to get better, then end your addiciton to this piece of trash game and either chase pussy or find something fun to play for a few months while waiting for the new stuff. (and make it CLEAR on the dev boards of the new games that pvpers dont want another STUPID MOSTERBASHING LEVEL TREADMILL but a PVP GAME)

I say, screw Verant. Let's enjoy what we're doing. Everything has its up or downs but as of yet I'm enjoying every single minute of EQ my way even though Verant has the PVP servers all screwed to make their bluebies enjoy it. Let's just make the most out of it cuz at some point or another we all have to move on (I'm specially looking foward to FF Online!). Btw, I'm doing my final adjustments before becoming a newt :). I'm either gonna be a warrior or bard and I have 2 people tagging along with me. One is gonna be a cleric (with my second account) and my other friend I think he wants to be an enchanter. But anyway, hopefully I'll get to pk some with ya eventually, really looking foward to it :). Till then fellas, let's make the most out of it and party !

I think Verant long ago solved their problems with Darkenbane, when they banned Gray. I believe it was one huge conspiracy. Think about it. Gray was banned right when Sullon came out. Darkenbane, in no doubt in any of our minds, was the sole reason for 95% of Verant's headaches with Rallos. They saw how people followed Gray. They knew if they banned him, he would only come back stronger. Thus, with the creation of a no rules server where they didn't have to deal with petitions dealing with player interaction, they figured Gray, instead of starting over on Rallos and being PLed would move to Sullon where there were no rules. There is no doubt in my mind they thought Graraige and the remainder of Darkenbane would be evil and those coming from the other servers would be Neutral, I dont think they ever cared about Good. This all boils down to one point...getting people to shut up about having their ass kicked by Darkenbane. They never thoguht they'd be dealing with Darkenbane trying to get PvP changed. Think about it, it all makes perfect sense. In the long run, Rallos will be gone, and so will Verant's headaches, since Rallos Zek is the only server where anyone can kill anyone just as long as they are within 4 lvl's there's nobody helping ach other out. Rallos Zek's days are numbered. Legends and Sullon were designed to pull people from Rallos, thus ending their problems. This has never been a question in my mind.

All we are saying is that if EQ really wants to have a chance of keeping folks like us from instantly leaving EQ for SB when it comes out, they should address these issues. Even if SB sucks ass, it will be better than what things like Manaburn/Lifeburn bring tot he PvP table...which is NO PvP.
