im using WinMX 3.53 right now.. It's good for downloading music, and somebody told me it was good for movies but it doesn't seem so. Like if I type in milf hunter a bunch of short .asf movies that dont even work pop up, followed by the videos that probably do work and are large videos, but they have like hundreds of people in line to download it. Even if I do wait in line, 80% of the time the file will get botched and i'll lose my place for some retarded reason.

Sooo whats a good program to download movies?

WinMX sucks.

Use Bit Torrent, mIRC or Kazaa Lite (last resort).

http://www.shareaza.com/

the best p2p there is, searches gnutella 2.0, edonkey, and will even download torrents, spyware free, lots of advanced features.

I find bit torrent works best. Then I go to www.suprnova.org. Try to get the experimental bit torrent thingy, it seems to work better.

You should try Azureas, it has all of the features of experimental but with a nicer GUI and stuff.

Bittorrent clients are fine if you want a fast download but they seem to use WAY more bandwidth than p2p clients. I've used Azureus extensively for the past year. Even with just a single transfer open going at about 5kb up/down it ate nearly all my bandwidth. This goes for ABC and other bittorrent clients as well. Simple web browsing turned into a nightmare reminding me of my 9600 baud days. For those who are wondering I have a cable modem. It's stable though, I can download over 500kb/sec and I have more than enough upload. I've heard alot of other people have the same problem with bittorent clients so I'm pretty sure it's not just me or something I'm doing wrong.

I recently switched to shareaza and it was a nice relief. I could not have multiple downloads running at once while browsing the web and playing games. It's the best p2p client I've ever used and I haven't run into any problems since getting it last week.

Go in to options and cap your upload.

I've capped it very very low in the past. It helped a little but still didn't even come close to p2p smoothness.

Yeah, I only use bit torrent while I sleep.
