Was just reading the frontpage news... When I was in SK working on Quillmane, these two nabbed him when he spawned. They promptly tried to scam me for the cloak, which was a pretty blatent scam seeing how the cloak is NO DROP.

People should know better than to try to scam gnomes. We're all vindictive bastards on account of built up frustration over not being able to see over small hills.

I proceeded to killsteal them until they were forced to go into Paw, then killstole from them in there until they went back out, then killstole some more until they left the area completely.

They're dickheads, I suggest you just train them to death whenever the opportunity presents itself.



Also, with the recent disgruntlement over EQ PvP and the lack of bugfixes by Verant, perhaps DB would be more interested in Shadowbane, which will theoretically be out this year (*cough*).

Some things about that game make me edgy, but I have it in my mind as the Last Hope For Good PvP. I have a tentative guild forming consisting mostly of old school VZ'ers. I'm looking for members in addition to other guildleaders -- SB encourages a guild hierarchy, so ultimately we will need more leaders to head up splinter guilds. If EQ PvP continues to suck, look us up!

SB seems to be a good pvp game, but after DAoC, who dares get their hopes up ?

I'm not quite excited with neither SB or DAoC (DAoC is really slow,dunno,there'ssomething missing there). But if you have played close attention to AO the game is getting fixed huge time. It's reaching a perfect status, it already surpassed DAoC to many people. Now we'll have to wait and see...perhaps Final Fantasy Online will be big?????

DaoC isnt slow, its rather fast, but pvp is gay, AO is pretty cool, i got a friend whos ll 105 :p hehe pvp looks fun to ill post some pic's of pvp etc.

AO is pretty fun... the mission system is great, and the world is vast and interesting, it is also very easy to get lost without maps, especially out in the middle of the desert.

Anyways from what beta testers in SB tell me, the game is absolutely amazing, the PvP is great, class balance is great, and there are a multitude of options for your character... overwhelming even. Leveling goes fast, building towns is fun, and fighting over towns is even more fun.

Yah Ao has improved immensly since back in the beginning, I had quit for a few months after getting fed up with all the BS (after playing about 3 months I think).

But they offered a free 7 day trial so I thought what the heck, and now Im hooked again. I dont get to play more then an hour or two a day if at all and yet Ive managed to get almost 40th lvl in a couple weeks.

Havent pvped much yet since I restarted, but I too will post osme screenys if I get any good ones.

On a side note having 3 pets owns.

It's an interview with serveral MMORPG reps. Ashen Temper is the Shadowbane guy.

His answers really give me encouragement about this game. I am so sick of the level treadmill.

yah SB is definately going to be my next game... War3 isnt all that great, a big disapointmeant for me, although it is fairly revolutionarly (think of heroes of might and magic in an RTS setting), however the units just dont have the functionality that they did before, the depth of the game is limited to heroes really.
However, they still have a long time to change things, and changes are being made

If you want a comparison between EQ and Shadowbane leveling, here is one :

1 Level in Shadowbane goes 2-3 times fasters than 1 AA exp powerleveled in EQ.

Another thing, the game is 100% based on your stats, the level itself doesn't change anything. So a level 20 with 500 defense is just as hard to hit as a level 10 with 500 defense.

You can't twink in SB sorry. Equipment is restricted by levels, skills and base stats (str, dex, int, etc..) and of course the usual race/clas combo.

Just take diablo 2 lord of destruction and you have an idea how SB is.
