anyone know wtf is wrong with my quicktime player?..........

i went to download the SB movies from their website, but i did not have quicktime, so i donwloaded quicktime.

all of the short movies will play but the big 10 min long one wont and its pissign me off, the big one ends in .avi and the small ones in .mov, it says quicktime doesnt recognize avi files, so if it doesnt recognize avi files why the hell is it trying to PLAY them?


anyhow if someone knows how to fix this shit let me know =P

ooh u need windows media player to play that...

it should be on ur comp already but u also need a divx codec to play avi files.

goto yahoo and type in divx alpha

thanks it worked, sort of........

i got the codec thing, but it wouldnt play the avi for some reason, so i opened irfanview and converted the avi to mpeg, which while doing that it downloaded stuff fromn codec (?) which allowed me to view it in both low quailty mpeg, and high quality mpeg through the irfanview,........ so it workjed somehow =P

now i wish i had a SB beta =/, damn that game looks fun. going to suck though when the beta ppl shoot out in front of everyone through all the beta bugs they learned again though just like with DAOC's launch (sup dupes and dex debuff bug)
