I wanna learn to PVP

I have come here in search of knowledge and skill from all you expert pvp'rs.

In each of the following circumstances i was told i had no skill so i am asking that you people please help me in gaining the skill in need should the situation arise again.

Mawwle=20 sk Vitas=20 wiz

Scenarion 1

I was playing Mawwle and popped thru a zone and slashed someone sittting there and immediatly landed a darkness. He took one step and zone plugged and then got on his alternate and informed me i had no skill because i couldnt kill him.

Lesson #1

Now what i need to know is how would a "skilled player" go about killing a character that is offline?


Scenario 2

I was playing Vitas and cast a nuke on a shaman. He then started running so i tried a root but it was resisted. Since sow>jboots i didnt even bother giving chase at that point, but i was informed i had no pvp skill because my spell only did 11 points of damage.

Lesson #2

Could someone please share with me the skilled method of spell gem clicking to ensure they do full damage all the time?

Scenario #3

Back on Mawwle I open with a darkness on a bard and smack him a couple times, but the darkness is resisted and he turns on selo's and proceeds to cruise off into the distance, so again i didnt bother giving chase as Ill Omen is a huge zone and I didnt wanna run all over for the next half hour, but i was informed by the bard i had no skill because i could not catch him.

Lesson #3

I need to know that special way to hold down the run key to make me run as fast as selo's with a good set of drums (no strafing doesnt quite do it).

Scenario #4

On Mawwle again i attack a guy and got him to half life in about 15 seconds but a epic druid showed up about then and healed him then thorned him. I pumiced a few times but the thorns just got renewed and i played with him a while and made the druid heal him about 4 or 5 times until the thorns finally got me down a bit to much so i just /laugh and left. I was then imformed i had no pvp skill because i could not kill him.

Lesson #4

Can someone please tell me that special "skilled" way of swinging a sword so as not to take thorn damage?

Well, there are more times i have been informed i have no skill, but i can only learn so much in one day so as soon as i am enlightened on these, i will post more :)

Sunday night my guild was in EK. Out pops Leebowski. Fucker kills all my members I was with,but for sure didnt even get me.
I jetted,and didnt stay to see me laying on the ground by a twink with a fungi,mith shit,and amethyst rings on.
Yeah my wiz is twinked up the ass ...but I carry pumices,and use skill when I kill someone.
I just dont stand there and yell "Cast on me all you want !!! I am uber !!!!

I know you dont acknowledge my opinion but I know I make a hell of alot of sense here.

First of all, how do you have any idea what my skill level is? Not like you have ever fought me. I saw you once with vitas, there was a bit of a skirmish but then you zone plugged, then i saw you once with mawwle, i cast darkness, you zone plugged. Hell i didnt even get close enough to smack ya once. Yet you seem VERY intent on poiting out how much we suck.

Ok, so you think Rykker is good at pvp hmm, so lets say he is in range of my Wizard, he cast Tashan, i cast shadow step and gate. Now are my tells of "you suck at pvp" YOu got no skill cause you couldnt kill me and i had only 20 mana" ect ect considered to be correct?

As far as scenario 2 goes, if the shaman had been alone i would have considered pumice as an option to cancel his sow, but any smart player has a ton of junk buffs up top, and i always consider my oponant to be intelligent untill he proves otherwise to me. Anyway i did nto expect him to run since he had a monk and a warrior with him, and i was alone.

And why will i just stand there and let my gear take the blows?
Thats a simple one, its the fastest way to kill someone that i want to loot. If i use your tactic of nuke/run your ass off and hope he chases you so you can cast when he gets in range, then he has to much time to bag. If i face a formidable opponant i do change my tactic. you'd never see me standing there against Ogrork , he is just way to damn nasty, I'd definatly use some sort of tactic.

Anyway, Lighten up some man, your gonna give yourself a heartattack. :)

Skill is a good thing, but unfortunately, skill really only matters in pve. Skill doesn't mean jack in pvp unless both people have the same gear, are same level and same class. I've watched LoL fight. Some of them are idiots with nice gear. I don't deny this. However, Mawwle (vitas) is actually pretty good. He admits when he screws up.

I have been good as a wizard from day ass one when I started EQ.
Yeah everyone saw me fail as an ENC,but not every class is for everyone.
I didnt know anything about an ENC,or what to expect. I didnt care to hear about high MR. I just wanted to blind the shit out of someone so they cant bag,and kill them dead.
But yes PVE is what our classes are for,and gear is who wins.
So right now I winning. Ya'll laugh cause people seen my high level killed about 3 times by only 3 people.

I also wasnt naked that day at HK with the Mawwle encounter. I was in full leather look which my wiz wears alot.
Umm reason why darkness landed is because my wiz was wearing about 800hps of gear. So my MR was low.
I wear HPS so I run someone oom,so I dont need high MR when I am fighting some caster solo when I run him oom.
Thats the idea of being twinked so you can get gear......Mawwle is way OOR to a caster with lesser hps than a melee...
I also dont want to be around a twinked SK because HT is the problem.
Only way to beat an SK is with levitation,and stay away,and hope you have enough mana to smoke him up.
Pumices carry,and pray.
Uber twink SKS are owners,and I know you know that. Just dont get in range of getting HTED.
Wears tons of Mr so you cant get darknessed,and ss away and nuke as much.
But it fucking sucks how unbalanced PVP is in EQ RZ. You cant do a damn thing about it.
Especially when the inbalance is wearing a fungi tunic,deleveled to 2hs maxed,and carrying old school pumices,and mojo sticks.
So why people run from you,and say you suck ?

I attack Lewbouski and take him low which takes 70-80% of my mana and he runs away or starts zoning back and force to regenerate(Fungi) and after about 15 minutes of that I gate out because my mana cannot keep up even with allure of death on. You wanted to know how to PK someon one off line, I used to be in the Marines soo I can help ya with that.

First find out where the person lives and get into s good vantage point . Bring your handy dandy m16 a2 semi automatic gas operated air cooled rifle with ya. Practice sight allingmrnt sight picture(gets the little site closet to yur eye in the center of the site near the barral of thr rifle. aim dead center at the person(sigh picture) breath make sure the site goes up and down PERFECTLY straight and squeze the trigger.

5) fighting a war at lvl 13 or so who was lvl 16. i go oom but he has like 60 hps left, i med up to get one nuke off, it only does like 30 dmg which gives him enough hps to pull 45 hp ring. comes back into zone "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA YOU SUCK! YOU CANT EVEN KILL ME HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA"

So will someone please help me figure out how to kill someone so they cant pull there hp ring?

Well it depends on the ring they wearing. Now if they are wearing an amtheyst rings thats 80 hps,its gonna be a bitch to stop heh
Those are like the best hp rings around for pvp.
But not many wear them. The majority usually wears 65 velium or 55 plat fire.
But the ones that wear them {and I not dissing either heh} are Legions.
I wouldnt wear them for pvp because they like pretty expensive to replace if you went LD,and got ganked.
Thats the only reason I fear wearing them.
But yes they are very hard to stop.
Guess what Fatle. Fadoxine was in Qeynos today. So I start nuking his ass. Hes like near death,and throws himself into a guard LOL Loses exp like an ass lol
He rather lose exp than have me kill his ass
