I dunno i was bored of Daoc today so I decided to check up on what had happened to Trainage Zek, couldn't find any evil sites but happened to see the remains of my former char on Darwoth's kills... damn fire debuffs. Anyways just wanted to say sup to everyone on both sides ;p

yeah daoc got shitty fast after mythic started to "fix" everything, hopefully SB will be worth playing pretty much my last hope for a decent pvp rpg.

yeah i loved the meelers in daoc... but i may as well paint a bullseye on my ass in RvR cause theres literally jack shit you can do but go grab a pepsi while you're chain mez'd,stun'd,rooted,paralyz'd and even if you do manage to get into meele range you have bt that will make a polearmsman virtually useless... and i thought EQ's pvp balance was bad.

aye it was even worse for us scouts, fucking hunters and rangers were 10x as powerful as we were but the archery nerfs hurt us 20x more since we didnt have anything like their comprehensive skillset (just the uber run spell alone would have made me happy wtf)

fucking hunters could melee like an armsman with his spear, shoot for almost as much damage as me and twice as fast, have a blue conning pet (which of course was unshakeable once it was sent on you which is another issue), dex/str buffs to up damage, fucking instant cast uber speed spell that could put you halfway across the frontier in the blink of an eye if you got in trouble plus all the shi we got.


giving bladeturn to pretty much every caster and still not having any resistance gear in the game is bullshit, instant cast nukes/spells were bullshit, /stick was bullshit,the xp nerf was bullshit, the complete inability for rogueish classes to solo for jack shit was bullshit (and playing one it was virtually impossible to get a group, i know some who had bribe people to group them lol), low green midgard healers (and thanes to a lesser extent) being able to freeze an entire raid squad singlehandedly while a thane beat their heads in one by one ruined the pvp in the game.

that, and everyone staying inside their frontier zones and not pvping because there were no real gains to pvp.




i did have a lot of fun though on the 2 seperate occasions i found a hole in midgards zonewall and managed to get into the inner realm and slaughter people left and right (some screens from the first time in the back pages of my SZ killshots section on this site) http://jabot2000.homestead.com/files/emoticons/vomit.gif

i played a paladin best thing they ever did for us in RvR was to show how many arrows got really stuck in my shiney armor =/
