DB's EQ Drama

Is it me or has all the drama with DB been related to PVE lately? Other than the odd complaint about EQ's PvP system it seems that you guys are always fighting over spawns, who came to what spawn blah blah blah blah.... Thought you guys would never be like that.

Well, considering I doubt anybody would call what DB did on RZ PvE.... It's only to be expected they have arguements, discussions, and or fights over PvE when they hold one of the top spots on the neutral team for PvE. I've been in a large raid group, and I've also been in a few different guilds in ma time and trust me considering what DB does they don't fight/argue that much at all.

Besides, as long as they continue to perform in PvP and be together then it really doesn't matter.

PvP on SZ is a daily occurance. Its so normal that we don;t even bother to discuss it. We get in 180 huge battles so often now that it just does not make mention in the News.

PvE, however, is an integral necessity to successful PvP. as everyone WEARS their gear on SZ it is important to HAVE good gear to fight.

Grunter on SZ is so far superior to Graraige on RZ that Grunter could prolly kill 2 Graraiges in a PvP fight at once. Grunter in full PvP resist gear has 220 intel 180 + to FR CR MR 130+ to PR DR and 2600 hps (selfbuffed with skins). Getting the stuff to get stats to fight guys in similar gear means we have to do PvE....and do it good.

Just as an example:

Sunday we went to COM to do Once's epic mob (a lord that spwns from Reavers).....Old DB made an all day event clearing the reavers and had several blowouts. Now we go with 2 groups and just rush the reaver house clearing it and doing two lords in 2 hours or so.

That same power in PvE means that those same two groups could mow through 5 groups of old RZ DBers without breathing hard. Its all about gear.

Goin' a step further and just so you know what we are fighting: Our foes carry Primal weopons which proc Avatar and hit for close to 300 with a 40 delay. Warriors equipped with these weopons would kill Graraige in a matter of seconds. Actually Grunter does not do much better, but at least Grunter has crits and 60th level nukes ;p

Part of DBs success on SZ is the fact that they're no longer bad guys. On RZ EVERYONE would go out of their way to fuck DB over. Which is why people who played one char, a hardcore pk, would be in DB. They had no PvE prowess whatsoever. SZ was a server that a lot of blue people came to because the blue game was getting boring. Hence the reason DB has done so well, people know what the fuck they're doing. I still have nightmares about our first Hate raid on RZ personally. PvP happens all the time so yes, it is more or less negligable in the news. However when an uber mob_00 is dropped it is a big deal.

i will always remember the day we tried to do vox... god that was probably the most fun ive ever had in EQ non-pvp. I stayed up all night to go on that raid, Gray tells me we are gonna do Lguk, and I tell him we should give vox a shot instead. God it was soooo pathetic, we didnt even make it to Vox, we all fell into the bear pit and died hahaha.

1) Insta Kill Spells
2) SoC Speed Horses That OOR bug
3) Golem Wands
4) And Other things~

There is nothing odd about it, and if you PvPed any you would understand that they are horrible problems witht the game that need to be fixed.

As far as us being "PvE" , do you think Ruin is uber because they have skills? umm, no. They have uber gear, wands and horses, all these things are gained through PvE, we have to PvE so we can Pvp more effectivly.

So please next time you feel like running you mouth, have something good to say, or send me a tell in game and we can me up in SRO,k? thx and stop flaming~~

can you really blame them for going blue? pvp serves no purpose on sullon, insignias are worthless and the exp loss from pvp death is negligible. having played on both servers i can say killing someone on rallos is *much* more rewarding:

i killed this fool a few minutes ago and i just had to laugh when i looted his corpse, here's a 60 shaman at full health just sitting there medding when i walk up, dance in front of him, cast WD and 3 nukes and walk away with a fungi tunic. ahh, good times :p

in case you're reading this mooge, if you're going to wear a fungi wear some resist gear next time, i never would have killed you if you had some fire resist gear on, i mean why wouldn't you wear a full bd set at the very least if you're gonna sport a fungi? :confused:

Btw, this wasn't really meant to be a flame - I don't even play on SZ... I just thought, based on the impression that I got from yas on RZ, you would always be rabid PVP related people. But as Gray explained, seems like PVP is so common and so gear related the actual publicity is more related with PVE.
