as to why you all still play everquest?
i know that a lot of you have made evil alts that are in the mid 50s now doing blue shit because there is rarely any pvp and even moreso pvp without gimpburns.

am i wrong or isnt the game going downhill faster everyday? seems like a waste of time to put more work into your chars to me, hence the question =P

are you all still pvp oriented or have you gone blue or what?
do you still question if your going to stick with everquest or switch to any of the new upcoming pvp based games?

yes, it is going downhill and has been for a long time at least for pvp anyway. it is rather clear when the various burns, luclin introduced bugs and 3 year old bugs remain unaddressed and darkenbane of all people dont seek out pvp because of them but roll up evils to do uber raids with instead.


i didnt get owned at the beginning, middle, or end i think you must have mistaken me for you whom got/gets owned in all three categories.


i certainly hope nobody quits everquest because i did, i dont want a cult following. nor is it my desire to get anyone to quit, i was just curious how anyone could find the current incarnation of the game enjoyable.


and yes clearly i am choked with sorrow, as a matter of fact it is just to overwhelming so i am going to stop typing now so i may go cry into my pillow.

PvP is a part of EQ on the Zeks, but its not the whole game, not even the majority. There is alot of PvE game to EQ, a ton of content and thats why it is fun. You next comment will be that I am a blubie for sure, oh well. I bought eq because I would watch friends play and got the sense of adventure and fun. PvP is a bonus. The content of EQ is huge, and unless you have nothing else to do in life, you prob wont see it all. Saying the PvP in EQ sucks therefore the game is crap is, well crap.

If you wanted to just level up and do nothing but PvP, you should have stayed on DAOC. The content of DAOC is shit, and thats why it fell on its face.

Because EQ is the only fun game out........UO? sure great pvp, but it was ruined long ago. AC? good pvp aswell, but in general its a gay game. DAoC? no, that takes braindameage to enjoy. AO im not even gonna awnser.

reason i asked is because it seems like a waste of effort to me to spend all this time leveling getting geared up etc if you plan to quit a couple months from now, especially if your not enjoying any pvp but rather starting all new characters on the opposite team to do PVE with. especially when most of you have always said how much you hate PVE =P

I play mostly for the people now. The life/mana burns are retarded, and they've fucked up insta recast with jboots which makes me mad. Well, I can't refresh scoraie anymore which is upsetting :P

I find I dont actively seek out pvp anymore...but it hardly means it is dead. For instance, I went to go check if VS was up for Sieges last week, and on the way I killed 2 people :P

i went pk'ing last night on my druid with voltaic (60 manaburn wiz) and cryax (60 chanter) and it was tons of fun. the three of us killed nearly a dozen Ordo Malleus when we were outnumbered nearly 5 to 1. what i don't get is why so many other people that are level 60 now aren't pvp'ing more, level'ing/raiding is so goddamn boring. all these people on the server spend literally hundreds of hours raiding to get loot and still avoid pvp whenever possible.

darwoth, i don't blame you for quiting, pk'ing solo as a druid really sucks ass compared to grouping with a 60 wiz/chanter team. thats not to say i dont kill people when i'm alone (ganked a fungi tunic and two velium diamond rings while solo yesterday) but when you've got a chanter with rapture no one can gate on you and half the time when the three of us are nuking someone they die before they even know what hit them. the only people that got away from us last night were necros and clerics that used invuln and would then hill bug us.

Maybe I went through a parranoia stage of being afraid to go LD,and get ganked.
Hey when you wear gear,and you have high resists you can mostly get away.
LD you cant. THats the only reason why I never wore gear. But now I say fuck it. I have the gear,so why should it rot.
Fuck it if I lose something,I'll always get it back.....
So yes I wear full gear nowdays,and I realised "its only a game"

What would you rather lose. Your rep or gear that you can get back...
I would say since I"m on a roll of not dying I would rather risk some gear. Which I can always pull my hp if shit goes bad.......

Tareslaeyn slain by Cougr and Someday together. Happened like 5 months ago at IGS. Starts out I go see Cougr sitting medding at IGS.
So I flag him. he runs asap {sow potions over jboots} I shouldve pumiced his ass first. My mistake o well.
So Cougr runs like hell towards Bandl. Someday sticks her pet on my ass. I die. Wasnt wearing gear either. {it took both them to kill me}
